Obama calls Hazelton ruling 'a victory for all Americans'

Even as Sen. Barack Obama found himself under fire from the Hillary Clinton campaign over what she called his "naive" intention to meet with leaders of countries hostile to the U.S., the presidential hopeful praised the recent court decision overturning one city's attempt to protect itself from hostile foreigners filling their streets with drugs, crime and gangs as "a victory for all Americans."

On Thursday, U.S. District Judge James Munley overturned Hazleton, Pa.'s "Illegal Immigration Relief Act" in a 206-page opinion that declared states and municipalities have no authority to stem illegal immigration.

Yeah, and Bush said everyone who opposed the immigration bill "Is not doing what's right for America".

Politicians - they all suck!

Robbing a bank is also a federal crime, but I suspect that local police would won’t shy away from enforcing that law.

“a victory for all Americans.”

Which just proves that Osama Obama is as moronic as the judge who made the ruling.

“..no authority to stem illegal immigration.”

I guess that legal and illegal mean the same in the judge’s mind. Will this judge not be challenged? If not, the law has lost its meaning and the two words, “legal” and “illegal” should be replaced by one word.

The judge is a moron.

Obama is a moron.

On a brighter note, the Mayor has said he’ll appeal this all the way to the Supreme Court if necessary. (Sorry, I don’t have a link.)

Judge Manley is, as expected, a clinton appointee. But I’m not sure that a Bush appointee would be any better on this subject.

Obama needs those Latino votes.

When is this self-serving bum going to do what’s good for the country, instead of what’s good for himself? Isn’t that part of leadership?

I live in Phoenix, AZ. The biggest crime area (violent) is guess where? Yes, the area where the illegal immigrants have congregated.

Thanks Barak!

Well, that’s because they live where it’s cheap — which tends to be the cruddy crime infested neighborhoods, I spose.

And that’s because they don’t make very much money — and that’s because they work for less than us legal folks — which means they’re driving down our wages.

The folks who hire them know this, of course. Duh, that’s why they hire illegals — so they won’t have to pay as much.

As long as people keep hiring them, they’ll keep coming. You can’t keep them out. So it seems like the best place to attack the problem is by looking for them at the places they go to work — I’d guess generally landscaping companies, roofing companies, etc — and check for green cards. Fine the employer if they’re knowingly hiring illegals. Word will get out, and people will stop hiring them. If the illegals can’t get work they’ll go home, yeh? And we won’t have to pay to deport them — they’ll go on their own dime.

Actually, it’s a victory for not-Americans, or illegal aliens.

this guy has been hiding behind a persona of a “mr.smith goes to washington” but in reality he is a hard left saul alinsky driven internationalist-he would sell us out in a minute(bush has tried just as hard on the immigration issue)-i think obama’s loyalties are to a un style international control of this country-hillary too-if either one wins we are in a lot of trouble -obama supports gun control, abortion on demand, higher taxes, open borders, and he is an associate of charles barron of the new york city council,a vicious anti-white racist-tell me who your friends are....

Now we need to get Mz. Clinton's opinion on supporting illegals or not - that would be a tough question for a lady slippery politician that rarely gets asked tough questions.
