Amen, my friend. I hate the entire process. HATE IT!
Its a test to see how emotional and how rattled you’ll get.
Stay calm and just say a tetached, No.... the minimum price is........ and don’t waste your time with less.
Ali - that’s one post I’m not going to thank you for. I had no idea there were people with that amount of hatred and vitriol out there, and that they could wish harm (death) on someone in the name of Jesus Christ made me shiver. Makes me want to stay unaware....
The corn that makes you “crack a smile”.
They’re doing the devil’s work over there. No question.
I hate housebuyers..
Once when we were selling a house, a looky look scrapped the paint of a real oil painting with her dirty fingernail..
“Oh” sez she “Its real”
Other than beat her up for my pretty winter scene..what could I do..
I’m soliciting prayers from everyone, everywhere!
A very very dear friend of mine has had a recurrence of bone marrow cancer. She fought it successfully once. Bone marrow cancer is never cured. It only goes into remission for however long it does for each person. When it resurfaces, it’s usually more aggressive than the time before, as is the case with my friend.
I’d like you to know some stuff about this very special lady. When I was 15, she took me “under her wing”, let me hang on her apron strings, or in this case....her Rosary beads. My parents were rarely available for much, but they DID make sure I went to an awesome school. Sister Pat was my biology teacher. I SO needed guidance, and I was drawn to something very special I couldn’t quite understand (yet) in her.
I told her my story, and she “adopted” me. Honestly, I don’t know what would have happened to me without her guidance and love. She loved me no matter how badly I screwed up (I was far from perfect). She never gave up on me. She always encouraged me to let my best shine through.
This lady has devoted her life to God and to helping people. As a teacher, she was dynamite! As a friend, she was a life saver. I love this lady very much.
She’s been a nun for almost 50 years, and her joy of life and love of God is positively infectious. She traveled from St. Louis to Steilacoom, Washington for my wedding. She said there was no way she would miss it!
I send her flowers every year on Mother’s day. She gets such a kick out of it when there’s a new sister in the convent..... curious about the flowers. She says: “Oh, these are from my “kid” for Mother’s day”. She’s gotten various reactions, and she has some fun with it. Some of the nuns in her convent know very well who the flowers are from and WHY she gets them, as these ladies have also known me since I was a teenager.
Sister Pat is very grateful for her 18 months of remission. She’s ready to fight again, but she’s also ready if God decides He wants her home. She’s 67 years young.
Please pray for this wonderful lady. Prayer is powerful! (She helped me grasp that fact, too)
Lori
In any case you reminded me of another thing that always makes me laugh:
I did not listen to Rush today.
But I just know they haven’t the foggiest notion of how to be a real American. Basturds.
How sad. Prayers definitely up for your dear friend.
Some people have a hell of a nerve. House-buyers are the worst, you’re so right.
“Thelma and Louise”. That really works for you two.
My favorite was watching them blanch at my Rudy bumperstrip and all of the “Steve Beren for Congress” materials and letters adorning my house.
9/11 was once too many.....
Prayers for this good man, his friends, family and the Court...
HUPPER ISLAND Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr., a seasonal resident of Hupper Island, located off Port Clyde, was taken to Penobscot Bay Medical Center in Rockport mid-day Monday.
Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr.
St. George Ambulance responded to a call at about 2 p.m. Monday of a man who had fallen 5 to 10 feet and landed on a dock, hitting the back of his head. The patient was ashen and was foaming at the mouth. The patient had reportedly suffered a grand mal seizure and was transported to Penobscot Bay Medical Center.
As of Monday afternoon, Penobscot Bay Medical Center would not confirm that Roberts was a patient.
Roberts and his wife, Jane Roberts, purchased their home on Hupper Island in June 2006. The island is located a few hundreds yards off Port Clyde and is only accessible by boat.
Roberts, 52, was appointed as chief justice by President George W. Bush and has served since Sept. 29, 2005.
More information will be provided as it becomes available.
Will keep your friend in my prayers, Lori.
I’m so sorry Lori.
Prayers lifted Heaven-ward......
Prayers up for the wonderful Sister. If you’ll give me a small script, I’ll also offer one to St. Jude (or whomever you choose of such accredited variety).
DU now on Death(Wish)Watch.....
prayers lifted for Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr HEAVEN-ward!!!!
