(Pyongyang KCNA = Yonhap News) On Jul. 29, Kim Jong-il is casting a ballot at (a voting station of )Chusang Coperative Farm at Hamju, N. Hamkyung Province, in an election for local People's Assembly of Province, City, and County. |

According to local S. Korean news, N. Korean regime is using this election to ferret out all people absent from their residence. All people who did not vote will be regarded as anti-state elements because they may well be escapees to China, defectors, or doing something subversive, according to the regime.
Those who crossed the border temporarily to make a living is in a panic to get back to their home.
