since before 9/11 Paul was perhaps the most beloved elected official on this site and every FReeper was singing his tune.
I recall it more during the Xlinton era. National ID, Know-Your-Customer, the Xlinton nationalization of the schools that Bush renamed No Child Left Behind, well, Ron Paul was a hero at FR on all those fights, some of them with Senator Shelby in the Senate, others with Henry Hyde. And his Liberty Caucus with folks like Hostettler who was such a fierce and brave champion of the Second.
Man, what's not to love if there's a drop of conservative blood in your veins?

"Only nutjobs, Paulnuts, the lunatic left, Du dummies, Kos kiddies, Sorosites support this moronic, surrender monkey that wants to run away from Al Qaeda in Iraq, the same al Qaeda that attacked us on 9/11. Ron Paul the modern day Jim Jones." You are out of your ever loving mind.

Paul keeps getting smeared only because of this position on the Iraq war. All the other reasons he has had for a long time without the guns of the pro-war crowd blazing away at him. In case no one has noticed, anyone against the Iraq war on this site is more than disagreed with, his name must be utterly destroyed. Well Bush and company forgot about the troops a long time ago. Ron Paul likely understands the M.E. better than anyone running for POTUS. Understanding the M.E. culture is not the same as agreeing with it and that flies over a lot of persons heads when Ron Paul's name is mentioned.

Welcome aboard. Today is your first day. It is obvious you have slithered in from DU or Kos troll. You can not be taken seriously.

Since I’ve been here since ‘98 AND retired from the USMC, can I be taken seriously? He’s correct, you have more spin than a phonograph record. Sad thing to see in a good Marine.

So I’ve heard, but I have no personal knowledge of it.
I just got back from Whitney Texas Sunday morning. Hillsborough County.
