AMSTERDAM The police in Zuid-Limburg have arrested a gang of Albanian human traffickers. The three men are suspected of human trafficking, hostage taking, abuse and rape.
One victim, a 36-year-old woman of Yugoslavian descent, was rescued by police. She had gone into hiding months ago in Limburg with the help of police because she had been forced into prostitution by the gang.
But the gang managed to find her and took her into their control once again. It was five months before she was able to alert her contact person with the police by sms text message. A 17-year-old girl is also being sought in connection with the case.

Were these Albanians muslims?
The Netherlands needs to be careful they don’t file a civil-rights complaint, claiming that human slave-trade is a traditional muslim occupation!
but I thought prostitution was a victimless crime?
ignoring reality while rewriting inconvenient facts is a hallmark of Liberalism
The woman was from Kosovo.
I received this from an Expatica news editor.
"Thanks for your question. The first report in the Dutch news on the NOS.nl site simply stated that the woman was of Jugoslavische afkomst presumably meaning that she came from one of the former Yugoslav states. It did not specify which one at that point, hence I translated the word as Yugoslavian. I felt it was better to give readers an approximation at least of where the woman was from rather than no indication whatsoever. I imagine this was the Dutch news sources motivation as well. Stories usually come out piece-wise, we dont have every specific from the very beginning. It has since emerged that the woman is from Kosovo. This will be included in an updated version of the story later in the day. "At last check the news article hasn't been updated.
Safe money says she isn’t an Albanian Moslem but one of their many victims from Kosovo.
One victim, a 36-year-old woman of Kosovan descent...
Kosovan descent! LOL
I have seen the updated posting, but I'm afraid it has added to the confusion. A person can not be "Kosovan descent"! Kosovo is a province of Serbia (see UN resolution 1244). That would be like saying the person is of "Zeeland descent".If the person was born in Kosovo, she would likely be Albanian, Serbian, Roma, Turkish or Croatian descent. If not, she could be one of the many eastern European women that the traffickers have brought through Kosovo.
Hope you can find more information on this. Human trafficking is deplorable!
