ROFLOL!
“Many would have been considered traitors in their own countries.”
Considered traitors? They WERE traitors.
Not necessarily - many foreign soldiers volunteered to fight the communists - this would not make them traitors, since they had no allegiance to the USSR. A similar example would be foreigners who joined the U.S. Army during Vietnam to fight the communists there.
The “secret” is who shot Eva Braun’s brother-in-law, an SS General who disobeyed orders and left the bunker in late April. Insignificant.
Enough about Ted Kennedy already!!
“Downfall” is a great movie.
Based on the story told by one of Hitler’s young secretaries.
Done in German, but I didn’t find the subtitles hard to follow at all.
Strangely, I hardly noticed them, actually.
Even the Waffen SS was during the last phase of the war full of conscripts.
Most German citizens weren’t in the military, weren’t running the ovens either BUT they were glad they were running. I don’t feel sorry for him at all. While he was Hitler’s bodyguard and telephone operator, there were babies getting smashed to bits by men in the streets. It’s the quiet complicity of people like him that allowed Hitler to continue. Now he’s writing a book about it :eyeroll:
For the Nazis.
“They WERE traitors.”
What if you were a Ukrainian father of German heritage who saw his parents and siblings perish in the 1932 Holdomor - along with 10 million others (while the world covered it up).
When the Nazis rose to power primarily because of its anticommunism and it drove out the communists, who would you have fought for?

But this apparently is translated from the German.
Amazing. There are actually people on this forum that defend Nazis.
In-effing-credible.

No one defending Nazis here but you are certainly advancing the leftist tradition of communist genocide obfuscation.
Incidentally, Ukraine is the only country that mounted significant campaigns against both the Communists and Fascists -losing more than any other nation.

Yes, and one of them turned out to be none other than Gunter Grass. I don't blame him for that, but I do for living a life of deceit afterward.
In-effing-credible, isn’t it.
