Not fighting them there (APPARENTLY, BARACK HUSSEIN IS NOT CONSIDERED A "SISSY-HAWK")

Not fighting them there

Barack Obama regarding al-Qaida's finding years of safe haven in Pakistan:

"There are terrorists holed up in those mountains who murdered 3,000 Americans. They are plotting to strike again. It was a terrible mistake to fail to act when we had a chance to take out an al-Qaida leadership meeting in 2005. If we have actionable intelligence about high-value terrorist targets and President Musharraf will not act, we will."

No response yet from the 9/11 cut-and-runners in the White House.

It's interesting that Smith calls Republicans who support our action in Iraq "chicken hawks" or "sissy hawks" but Obama wanting to attack Pakistan is fine and dandy.

Wow. We should get Zany’s take on Bill Clinton’s opportunity to get Bin Laden himself from the Sudan.

For what it is worth, here is how he explains how terrorism should be fought.

Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) Speech on Worldwide Terrorism
Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) delivers a speech, "The War We Need to Win," laying out his comprehensive strategy to fight terrorism worldwide. He discusses how the war in Iraq and our failed leadership in Washington have made us less safe than we were before 9/11 and outline his plan to start fighting the right war on the right battlefield.

"unilaterally"

You might add "pre-emptively", "illegally", and "immorally".

“No response yet from the 9/11 cut-and-runners in the White House.”

?!?!? WTF?!?!

Since when is the White House, this White House, WHICH CAUGHT KHALID SHEIK MOHAMMED WITH PAKISTAN’S HELP IN PAKISTAN AND NOW HAS HIM IN GITMO WHICH BARACK OBAMA WANTS TO CLOSE DOWN, a bunch of ‘cut-and-runners’.

This is the typical liberal ‘projection’ rhetoric, where they twist reality like a pretzel to call the Republicans what they themselves are.

Barack Hussein ‘cut-n-run from Iraq’ Obama wants to stupidly blunder into putting US troops in Pakistan and so now anyone who opposes that particular flight of fancy is a ‘cut-n-run’ person? Or is the White House ‘cut-n-run’ because they wont meet and shake hands with anti-American despots?

Our invasion of Iraq led to the downfall of Saddam. To invade Pakistan - a country of 135 million - would almost certainly cause the downfall of the Pakistan govt. It would also certainly make us the enemy of all the tribal people up there. Would it help catch Bin Laden? Marginally so, but it would still be a needle in a haystack. In Iraq with 150,000 troops, we find it significant when we can get a terrorist cell leader. But in Iraq most of the people are on our side, not on the enemy’s side.

Obama’s blundering idea is a far far far far more dangerous and less beneficial idea than invading Iraq. His blunder was an attempt to shake loose the pacifist tint on his rhetoric but it exposes only how clueless and (yes, Hillary’s right) naive he is about such matters. Just as our Iraq adventure had unintended consequences, some good and some bad, interfering with Pakistan, or worse - putting troops there - could backfire enormously on us. For example, do we want an islamofascist coup against the Pakistan govt that puts nukes in their hands ... all while we have troops there?

Well it looks like Bush diplomacy with North Korea *worked* - they are shutting down their nukes.
And it looks like Bush GWOT efforts in Pakistan have at least hampered AQ without pushing Pakistan itself into chaos.

This would make a very effective anti-Obamama Hussein campaign poster. It would stick in peoples mind when they got to the voting booth. Dumbo. He’s creepy.

“Libs always want us to attack ANOTHER, DIFFERENT, country, in their sabotage campaign to lose the war we are in. Its been their M.O. for decades.”

Absolutely.

I recall a few years ago the Libs were whining that the Bush administration was doing nothing about North Korea, that was more important than Iraq, yadda yadda yadda ...

That stopped. I wonder why.

Now they have the ‘get bin laden’ line revved up again ... shades of when Wes Clark was going to hire the Saudi ninja fighters to go get Bin laden.
