Ed Shultz blames Bush for Bridge Collapse
Say Anything ^ | 08/02/07 | Rob

Posted on 08/02/2007 11:35:50 AM PDT by ljco

No, I’m not kidding. Here’s a paraphrase of what he said:

...the only reason Bush is talking about fatalities is because he didn’t give MN enough money to maintain the bridge.

Right, Ed. Because it’s the President, and not Congress, who appropriates highway funds for roads and bridges.

What’s more, have we really departed so far from our federalist roots that we’re now blaming the President of the United States for not properly maintaining a bridge in Minneapolis (if that is indeed why the bridge went down)? What about local city officials? County road inspectors? State highway department people? The governor?

But hey, I guess this is what you get from a paid mouthpiece for the Democrat party.

Of course, Schultz isn’t the only liberal driven to stupidity by the bridge collapse in Minnesota. Others are saying that the bridge collapsed because, get this, we aren’t paying enough in taxes. Again, I’m not sure why the bridge in Minnesota collapsed (hasn’t anyone been inspecting it?), but if more funding was needed to maintain it Congress could have cut back on the number of million dollar bus stops and bridges to nowhere they’ve been building with our highway money.

You mean it’s not the President’s job to personally inspect every single roadway and bridge span in the whole USA? /sarc

Ed Shultz is a shill and should lose his job.

I witnesses the big press conference...they were falling all over each other trying to get to the camera and microphone..all making the same self serving, cover your backside, asinine political statements. The Governor has been especially bad about passing the buck.

Who in blazes is Ed Schultz? He used to do the Peanuts cartoon strip.

I thought he was retired military. Didn't he used to be a Sargent?

"I know nothing!"

Its much more insidieous that that. The BusHitlerMcHaliCheneyBurtonJOOOOOS had Wellstone whacked because he knew about the plot to destroy the bridge. Who really nows how far the rabbit hole goes.

Dear Mr. Schultz:
Bush, in fact, did do it.

He needed more blood from the infants on the schoolbus.

It was only luck and the valiant efforts of liberals that saved those kids.

But expect Bush to strike again! He needs the blood to make pastries from!

Love,

Bar King Munnbat.

They raid the funds each year, delay needed highway projects and complain that we need to put toll booths out on I-95 to raise highway funds.

Same problem here in Texas PLUS they start construction on projects all over town, half of which they don't work on most of the time and they play with the traffic light times (we've literally caught them) to clog traffic further to push their toll road agenda.

It won’t take much work to go back and get some of the anecdotal stories re Katrina and monies. There is even video of the NOLA “victims” swearing at Shepard Smith because the FEMA cards were frozen after the “victims” bought Gucci handbags and casino chips with the cards. Whenever anyone mentions Katrina to me, I round on them like a demented pitbull. I can’t stand that entire obscenity, and and and...RAY NAGIN GOT RE-ELECTED!!!

Maybe it’s Lutherans he doesn’t like.

More like Germans and Catholics, the number one ethnic group and religion in Minnesota.

I’m afraid that I’m not familiar with ol’ Ed. No loss, apparently.

I am so mad! I had to do a google search just to find out who the mindless Ed Schultz was. What a waste of my time!

Let’s see, the increased traffic was due to the fact that many fans were going to a Twins game.

The Major League was considering contracting the Twins franchise, but the owners decided to let the Twins stay.

One of the owners who voted to keep the Twins....then Texas Rangers owner George W. Bush.

I sent Ed an email asking why Congress and the goverment of MN are not being held responsible for this bridge collapse and why he feels the need to blame the President. I’ll post if I get a response from the loon.

I was expecting someone to connect this disaster to global warming, as if it was enough to soften the steel and cause it to collapse.

The bridge collapsed in the middle of maintenance. The money must have come from somewhere.

Unfortunately they were resurfacing the roadway.
Talk about putting lipstick on a pig....
