Jack Cafferty was just on CNN with Wolf Blitzer and said that if we weren't spending a total of 1 Trillion dollars in Iraq we could have repaired that bridge and all of the bridges in the U.S.A. instead of building new bridges for roads in Iraq.
He laid blame on...guess who? But of course...Bush!
When all else fails...CNN and the Liberals find a way to blame Bush.
Don't the Democrats run that state for the most part?
More MIHOP DUFU fodder.
Isn’t Minnesota one of the most RAT (infested) states in the nation?
You forgot to add MAJOR UBER DUPER BARF ALERT!!!!
Don’t these people have shame. Oh nevermind...........
Iraq has cost $446 billion, not $1 trillion. Costofwar.com shows the true number.
Isn’t funny after Katrina and now this, two Democrat states with two Democrat controlled cities have catastrophes and yet they can’t wait to blame someone else. Who’s responsibility was it to shore up the levees, the bridges, etc? Just the federal gov’t? Give me a break.
I’ll bet the latest transportation bill probably provides more money for highways and bridges then any in US history.
Aw geez, not this sh** again! The odious Cafferty knows perfectly well that he’s lying, but as long as the Oprah-cized couch potatoes believe it, then he’s achieved his goal. Next year, they’ll all get on their DNC-supplied buses and pull the lever for She Who Must Not Be Named.
Yes indeed. Home of Walter Mondale!
He is asking for people to write in and give their opinions on how we feel as Americans and the 1 Trillion spent on the war and how that money could have saved lives yesterday in Minn.
To be fair he was reading from a report that says by the end of the war it will be at 1 Trillion.....but we were nearing it lightning quick.
Wow that took a while! But still under 24 hours.
What did you have in the pool? I took 12 hrs. Grrrr
LOL
All that money wasted on the big dig in Boston would have repaired lots of bridges too. Blame Teddy.
Well CNN is doing hard news now...coming....people who suffer with bridge phobias...next..on the situation room.
Let’s see...the bridge was built in 1967 and was “non-redundant” so that if any part of the bridge failed, it could all go down as did the Silver Bridge in Ohio years ago. Who was president and in charge of building the interstate then? Let’s see...LBJohnson! You would think that after the Silver Bridge collapse, there would have been investigations into bridges built at that time.
Bottom line....people dropped the ball for years on this bridge...and Iraq has nothing to do with it.
Just plain stupid.
You knew this was coming.
I blame gravity...
Jack had better check with the Minn. gov. I heard him say a little while ago, that they knew that the report showed flaws in the structure, but that the decision was made that they were not serious.
Jack must be hungover.
I believe the report said if we stay in Iraq until 2012 it will end up costing 1 trillion dollars
