I don’t think all of that would have registered with me if I had just seen this while idly flipping through a magazine, though. I might have thought, “weird ad,” but that’s about it.

It doesn’t matter if your intentions are racist. If you are white, and breathe, it can be interpreted as racist, and so you are wrong with no recourse.
It’s a no win ad. No matter who they put in there, it would have been offensive to someone.
Well you got a bunch of black guys bowing to a white guy. Stands out quite a bit. I guess it can be construed as a bit off color and inappropriate.
From the pix, it looks the sprinters are all the same guy.

They are in a starting stance, not bowing to anyone. You only encourage the racial whiners when you 'guess' it 'could be construed' ...

The ad is stupid but I fail to see the racism.

Number one rule of advertising these days: Show blacks as thoughtful, calm, intelligent alternatives to bumbling, stupid whites. Example: Allstate’s baritone speaking black man advertising “accident forgiveness” for those stupid, accident prone whites. And never, NEVER show a black man as a criminal in a commercial....only white men can carry that role.
Had this add showed six white men bowing to a black man, not one question would have been raised.

They obviously had to look hard for something racist, because I didn’t get that from the picture. Of course, I’m also a blue eyed, blonde haired female, with no axe to grind, unless you’re talking about “dumb blonde” jokes. But they do look like they are runners in position to go, and I believe Intel intended it that way. Someone had to make something out of nothing.

Check out the percentages of blacks in the crime occupations. The percentages are far in excess of the percentage of blacks in the population. It is a major tragedy to the black culture. My favorite blacks are Justice Thomas who is a great man and an intellectual, The Reverend Jesse Peterson and some friends who have been labelled Uncle Toms.
Here is a good one, all three of my children have attended public schools. Elementary school, middle school and high school. Their schools have been about fifty percent black.
The honors classes and above grade classes are almost 100% white or asian. My kids have reported that they are roughly treated by blacks at times. Oh, and my kids have dated blacks and I do not care, because the ones they hang out with are good kids just like mine. The blacks who do attend these classes are disrespected by the other black kids. They are accused of trying to be white.
My wife was in a Target waiting for a prescription. Behind her in line was a black soldier. He was telling his girlfriend that he had just spoken to a middle school class and that the class was almost all black. He had everyone put their heads down and asked those who wanted to grow up to be drug dealers to raise their hands. He said most of the boys raised their hands. This really stinks.The soldier was absolutely disappointed.
A statistic, you may wish to call it garbage, but it is something you may just wish to disregard reality. Black males make up about 5% of the population. They commit above 30% of the rapes and they do not just rape black women. They rape all races. White males are not reported to rape black women (less than 1%).
Yes, there are many really great, intellectual black people. Thank God for them. But the media, democratic and some liberal republicans, liberal judges, liberal teachers, etc. pander to black preferential treatment and blame whitey mentality. That is so they can get votes and/or maintain their own power.
Call this racist garbage, but it is statistics and it is reality.
I will always remember incidents like Duke Lacrosse and Ray Nagin. I also wish to bring up the young white couple that was viciously tortured and raped and dismembered early this year by five black thugs. Why is there an almost total blackout of this heinous crime in the media?
I stand by my written statements. Almost the entire civil rights movement has become that which it condemns. I detest the Klan and I detest black racists also.
