Who cares? As long as they’re killing each other that’s fine by me. We should encourage them to decimate each other at every opportunity. We should be dropping pallets of small arms and ammo over each city. We owe these stinking pukes nothing. Too bad we couldn’t drag Saudi Arabia and Iran into the mayhem. I for one hope they stack ‘em like cord wood from horizon to horizon. These people are obviously too stupid to form a decent government....even with outside intervention. They’re lazy and deserve exactly what they’ve gotten. They’re not worth one single drop of American or allied blood.
Oh yea, did I mention who cares?
The minute we “leave” which in itself is inconceivable...that crap hole of a “country” will revert back to the same tribalism it’s enjoyed for the last 2000 years.
So be it.
So long as Islam dominates a society said society freezes in its path of progression, invention and refinement. It is the antithesis of everything America is about and should be actively rooted out of our nation - despite that action seeming to be a form of religious suppression. Self-preservation trumps Islamic agenda.
I’m just tired of hearing some posters try to legitimize the METHOD of this crap war.
As another poster (whom I rarely agree with) alluded too, oil is our “VITAL US NATIONAL SECURITY INTEREST”, which I wholeheartedly agree with in this one particular occasion.
We’re the one remaining world superpower. Let’s start acting like it. This totally mismanaged half assed squabble we’ve gotten ourselves into is a friggin 5 year embarrassment.
A real superpower would have liquefied the enemy in 2 weeks using tactical nukes if necessary, invaded the oil fields and protected them from the get go....and just tell everyone else to phuck off. That’s what superpowers do....they kick azz. All throughout recorded time... this is what the reigning “superpowers” did....come into Dodge....kick azz... flatten everything and take the booty.
Instead we’re seen as weak kneed and totally ineffective by the rest of the world. Anyone with half a friggin brain could have figured out the American public would get totally sick of this skirmish after 5 years. Now we’re stuck with this stupid task of rebuilding a friggin country full of dim-wits. GAWD, talk about a waste of taxpayers resources...our own infrastructure is falling to pieces around us as seen in the last few days.
Diplomacy and touchy-feely has no place in this world when dealing with vital national interests. They’re either VITAL NATIONAL INTERESTS....or they’re not. If they are....then stop screwing around.... flatten Saudi Arabia and grab the largest remaining oilfields and just be done with it. Use neutron bombs if necessary. Liquify the population and leave the infrastructure standing....we have no balls. If we’re not willing to do at least THAT... then I guess it’s really not a “vital US National security interest” at all isn’t it?
Who’s going to stand in our way?
Most of the bottom feeders on this planet already hate us.... so who cares what the hell they think. Give em a few lollipops and tell them to STHU.

Slow down a bit. The problem is that we have some members of our leadership trying to throw bones to their alternate-career homies before fulfilling their duties to our nation. In Iraq those minding are looking after oil profiteering before soldier’s (and contractors) lives. That’s the Cheney line with Haliburton.
With Mexico the oligarchs are constantly crying to the same people to keep our borders open. Unfortunately for them hungrier wolves in the form of the drug cartels are taking over that whole country. It is now our self-preservation priority to seal the Mexican border and speed their internal anarchy. Our “release valve” policy has only put off the inevitable.
Meanwhile we’ve got to let our shooters take care of Taliban business in Afghanistan or whatever country those cowards flee too. It must also be publicized how the Wahabbi Arabs make up half of those shooting at our troops while their government continues to pressure our educational institutions to accept their way of thinking (with very large checks).
It’s ALL about rooting out corruption and standing up for what’s right.
