Do you believe that the US Navy shot the plane down??? The 200 witnesses would collaborate that.

From the NTSB report

“Numerous witnesses in the vicinity of the accident reported a streak of light. As the NTSB noted, “There was intense public interest in these witness reports and much speculation that the reported streak of light was a missile that eventually struck TWA flight 800, causing the airplane to explode.”[8] The NTSB Witness Group concluded that the streak of light reported by witnesses might have been the accident airplane during some stage of its flight before the fireball developed, noting that most of the 258 streak of light accounts were generally consistent with the calculated flightpath of the accident airplane after the CWT explosion.[8]

However, 38 witnesses described a streak of light that ascended vertically, or nearly so, and these accounts “seem[ed] to be inconsistent with the accident airplane’s flightpath.”[8] In addition, 18 witnesses reported seeing a streak of light that originated at the surface, or the horizon, which was “not consistent with the airplane’s flightpath.”[8] With regard to these differing accounts, the NTSB noted that in previous investigations witness data was “often inconsistent with the known facts or other witnesses’ reports of the same events.”[8] The interviews conducted by the FBI focused on the possibility of a missile attack (some suggested interview questions given to FBI agents were “Where was the sun in relation to the missile launch point?” and “How long did the missile fly?”), and as a consequence there was possible interviewer/interviewee bias.[16] The NTSB concluded that given the large number of witnesses in this case, they “did not expect all of the documented witness observations to be consistent with one another”[8], and “did not view the apparent anomalous accounts as being persuasive evidence that some witnesses might have observed a missile.”[8]

The investigation determined that if witnesses had observed a missile attack they would have seen the following: (1) a light from the burning missile motor ascending very rapidly and steeply for about 8 seconds; (2) the light disappearing for up to 7 seconds; (3) upon the missile striking the aircraft and igniting the CWT another light, moving considerably slower and more laterally than the first, for about 30 seconds; (4) this light descending while simultaneously developing into a fireball falling toward the ocean.[8] None of the witness documents provided to the NTSB described such a scenario, and the investigation concluded that “the witness observations of a streak of light were not related to a missile and that the streak of light reported by most of these witnesses was the burning fuel from the accident airplane in crippled flight during some portion of the post-explosion, pre-impact breakup sequence.”[8]

No bounce, just a hit.

A while back this year, a commerical airliner over the Atlantic had a near hit with space junk.

Good point!

No matter how you slice it, a very interesting situation to have the former National Security Adviser get caught removing evidence from the 911 investigation. If Bush has been consistent on anything it's the war we're fighting in response to 911, yet he basically let Berger get away with it. The entire Justice Dept. and Congress, and the 911 Commission itself just let him off.

The truth about Flight 800 could easily be part of what Berger removed from the public record. I think Washington insiders and power brokers always know stuff us regular folks don't. It's just interesting to see how messy this whole thing has been, in a time of serious threats to the American people.
To have all the GOP & the Dems on board you have to assume the logic has to do with the 'good of the country'. Berger gets a slap on the wrist for an offense he could of been hanged for.

Add that to the center fuel tank problem that never sounded believable.... Air Force One??? The response to flight 800, and destroying the 911 commission has been a sloppy example even us little regular folks recognize.

Wasn't there an ad taken out in the NYT by some of the witnesses?

What ever happened to the people who said they found explosive residue in the wreckage?

I saw the rerun in the middle of the night. It was quite pathetic.

No bounce, just a hit.

Then you have to explain what all the witnesses saw. The government came up with a cartoon that showed the stricken plane climbing about 3000 feet after the magical fuel tank explosion. That was the government's explanation. What's yours?

Who cares about JFK? I always thought LHO did that deed but paid for by either the Soviets or the Castroites....who knows. But we have Bubba Clinton’s “wife” about this close to being in the White House. Yet there were so many leftover crimes from their first “reign of terror”.....we have every right to look at those “anomalies”.

Besides it was THEIR network who aired this program today, not us “kooks”.

You saw the rerun of this “No Survivors” program on CNN? I wish I could see it again. Just caught part of it and then was typing away.....11 years and they still cannot convince even the AIRLINER companies of this bogus center fuel tank fools story.

It sounds nothing like the stuff around JFK’s assassination. This was a shoot down of a United States passenger jet at a time of peace....supposedly. An act of war ignored by the inhabitant of the White House at the time it occurred. And his missus is on the brink of being back in that seat of power .....we have every right to examine the facts.

Wonder where the fuselage is of that airliner anyway?

Who did the NTSB report? Clinton appointees. Clinton apparatchniks. Let’s get an independent commission with none of the members chosen by the political parties. Let’s get them chosen by airlines companies and private pilots associations. Insurance inspectors. Anybody except government bureaucrats. We might just get to the truth. Of course how can we get to the truth if we have no fuselage??? Wonder where that ended up?

Probably been conveniently “recycled” to the Chinese or something...

Do you support James Sanders’ theory that the US Navy brought down the plane?

Yep. We did have plenty of pictures of that fuselage at one time. Don’t even know if these can be found today. Had I a sister on that flight, I would darn well have wanted the TRUTH no matter how ugly or damaging it was to the United States government. I think they thought oh, America can’t cope with such an attack. America will crumble. Or maybe it was America will never re-elect a President Clinton who allowed such an attack to occur and then to go unchallenged and unresponded to! Remember, Nov 1996 was just a few months away. Power no matter what the cost. That is their motto.

We had five US Agency look at the evidence (NTSB, FBI, CIA, DIA, and NASA) plus we had British Defence Evaluation and Research Agency look at part of the evidence. Had there been a cover up it would have been the most successful in the history of all governments.

Do you believe that the US Navy shot the plane down???

I don't know, I know there was allegedly some Navy testing of forward linked radar being conducted in the vicinity and that there was theory it was an accidental take down as a result of that, but I have trouble believing that such a risky test would be taking place in that location, close to low flying aircraft on climb out from JFK. Furthermore there is an FBI report of recovering parts from either a Stinger Launcher, or material discarded from a missile during the launch, from the sea bed in the alleged launch location.

Private, independent, non governmental investigators - not government people. Only way to get to the truth. And the investigators cannot be handpicked by the Clintonoids.

President Bush was not in office during the shoot down of TWA 800. He determined when he entered the Presidency that he was not going to make his term in office a time of getting the truth out about the Clinton crimes.

And this is not a discussion of President Bush.

You mean second to 9/11 itself.

If 800 was a conspiracy, isn't Bush as culpable for keeping it that way?
