The Governor's Chutzpah Backfires (Arnold Finds Himself Without GOP Friends Alert)
Sacramento Bee ^ | 08/05/2007 | Dan Walters

The other night, as the Senate's Republicans were blocking the state budget, GOP Sen. Tom McClintock alluded to the driver's license pledge, sending an implicit but unmistakable message that a big impediment to a deal was mistrust of the governor's promises to cut enough spending to bring the budget into rough balance.

Rightly or wrongly, Republicans believe that he'll sell them down the river in his eagerness to deal with Democrats. That mistrust, when coupled with Schwarzenegger's cavalier treatment of GOP politicians last year, made all but one of the senators impervious to his pleas.

Arnold left fellow Republicans high and dry during the 2006 election. Now he's finding his own party leaving him high and dry because they don't trust him to keep his word. Talk about finding yourself without friends. Ouch!

And unlike the ‘Terminator’ movies, Arnold can’t just hop on a motorcycle with a shotgun and start taking out his enemies.

Tom McClintock doesn’t look so goofy now, does he?

Arnold is the quintessential Hero of Leftist Cocktail Parties.

The politician who, so far this century, has done more to pander to leftists in order to get pats on the back over at the champaign and caviar table than any other politician on the planet.

Good! You have to deal with these rino prix some how? I wish conservative voters would stop voting for these pansies in the primaries. He's no better than any DBM/dem, so why put him in a position of power. We have to stop the convoluted thinking that any politician with an (R) beside his name is conservative, and will do our will.

I would normally post the “Total RINO” image here but I’m on the road.

Gee. Tell me what you drive so I can be far away from you. Following people with a phone stuck in their ear and eating is bad enough.

He recently became a RINO. He started by calling the democrats “girly men”. Now he has become one in Sacramento. He need another Terminator movie to get back in shape. He should be getting democrats worked up, not Republicans.

This "rino prix" has never stood for a CA Repub Primary Election!!! The Party leadership has CONned the delegates into endorsing Arnoiled before any primary has been held.

Now tell me... Whose fault is that???

Arnie had some promise in the begining but hanging out with the kookamunga Kennedys has sucked him dry of any conservative values he may have had. Arnie “talk to the hand” Ted is waiting for you at the gin mill, you both can commiserate!
