Considering that most freepers abhor airport security and consider it a bad joke, you probably won’t get much support here.

The single Kennedy-class vessel holds 3,500

There's a Kennedy-class passenger ferry? Oww.

Safer than bridges if you’re a Kennedy.

Since this “publication” has a website with only one article posted and no sections that function, the question is, does this paper really exist beyond the one article listed, or is this merely a blog dressed up as a newspaper?

To what purpose is the publication of weak security and the exposure of large groups of civilians?

Like wastedyears said, thanks for posting a ready-to-use attack plan. How helpful of you.

Then again, the Irish are pretty good at terrorism.

If you fight this war on defense, you lose - or end up with a police state.

Find them, defeat them, kill them.

Then your ferries will be safe.

The fact is that we won’t get serious until some major loss occurs. We didn’t get serious until Pearl Harbor, the Brits didn’t get serious until Dunkirk. There was a short spell of seriousness after 9/11 but Americans have a short attention span....

You’re right about the short attention span. For us to pay and then maintain attention, we need a 9-11 level event or larger once every 3 to 5 years unless we are doing something like we are in Iraq and Afghanistan. I wonder if nuking a city or two would wake us up? I hope we never find out. I'm sure there are many, many people working very hard to keep us from having an absolute police state, but we do seem pretty lax about security.

My father in law had his ferry canceled, he lives in BC Canada, someone called in a bomb threat and BC Ferries shut everything down...

http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2007/07/29/ferries-threat.html

No one needs to be hurt, they only have to disrupt things on a daily basis to screw things up... and they know this.

they = people with bad intentions

Nice job giving them a complete battleplan.

Marc-Yves Tumin is the associate publisher of the Irish Examiner.

Just the way the IRA drew it up.

59th Street Bridge????

Speed up, drive real fast
We won’t escape the bomber’s blast
Buried ‘neath the cobblestones
do do do do do feelin’ groovy.

59th St. Bridge, officially, the Queensboro(ugh) Bridge. I’ve only driven over it about 1,000 times. One of the ugliest structures in one of the ugliest cities in the Western World.

This scenario is the logical and inevitable result of banning the keeping and bearing of arms by law-abiding citizens.

The TSA isn't a bad joke, it is much, much worse. It is an organization that harasses mothers and young children over sippy cups and bread knives while it allows suspicious characters like the Flying Imams clear passage.

Until political correctness is purged from our society, organizations like the TSA will exist to protect the rights of terrorist while stripping the rights of U.S. citizens.
