Michigan is Open Carry w/o license but Concealed/carry with permit.
The open carry is a very, very little known fact and thats why you will never see anyone openly carrying a firearm.........in fact I mentioned that to a friend who is a reserve police officer in Roseville and he was shocked. He had absolutely no idea that we have the legal right to openly carry a firearm........
That being the case, I'm not about to create a stir by exercising my right. I do have common sense......
I tend to agree. I would be very cautious around a jumpy cop.

Rights, like muscles, atrophy when not exercised.
Then you DON'T HAVE THE RIGHT.
The same thing happened in Ohio - it got to the point where cops were making screaming, gun-waving felony stops on people simply because they were walking down the street minding their own business wearing a sidearm.
We carry openly here in New Hampshire and put up with the hassle of educating ignorant cops because we NEVER want to get to that point.
