I love the glen. I saw my first race there in in October 1967. Jimmy Clark and Graham Hill finished 1-2 in the best looking F1 cars ever: the British racing green lotus.
I’m thoroughly NASCAR these days and am looking for the blue 2 to make it two in a row this weekend.

Sad. I’ve got to two Cup races, two Indy races, and one ARCA race this year (anyone else here come close to that?). I’ve enjoyed them all. I’d go to a dog race if I had a track nearby, and a horse race isn’t out of the question.
I guess I don’t see the reason why everyone settles into their “camps” and then shoots at everyone else.

I used to race the watkins glen all the time, one of my favorites..

I guess I dont see the reason why everyone settles into their camps and then shoots at everyone else. We are doing our best to discourage the gunfights. This ain't the OK corral and we are here to provide entertainment and laughs as well as legitimate commentary. Feel free to enjoy the race with us!

Skateboarder Talks About Big Fall
http://www.nbc5.com/news/13834194/detail.html?rss=chi&psp=news
A skateboarder involved in a frightening fall at the X-Games last week is talking about his experience.
Jake Brown was performing a 720-degree spin when he lost control and crashed 40 feet to the ground. Brown said he twisted his body on purpose during the fall.
“I’m like, ‘I don’t want to smash my face off, so I’ll turn around, take to the legs, the back and the head and just disperse the energy of the slam,’” Brown said.
Brown was unconscious for a few minutes, but then managed to walk off the ramp. Brown suffered a lung injury and a wrist fracture, but said he would be back on the skateboard soon.

Just ignore me. I read from the bottom of the thread up. It’s kinda dangerous, but it’s a habit.
And that, sports fans, reminds me of a Dave Barry column, where he describes having the same affliction. He’s talking about the instructions for putting a gas grill together. He starts: Light Gas.
