Not only that, certified welders make good money. I’m surprised the union let some non-certified people on the job.

Shoddy bridge work means lotsa repair jobs (and the occasional catastrophe). They’re fat and happy.

Unions make out to the public like they stand for superior quality. If only. The truth seems to be more like they’re a bunch of political grumblers whose work quality takes a nose dive every time they have a grievance which is more often than not.

I’m just shocked the rank and file don’t complain about it.

We vote Dimocrat. More Dimocrat voters. What's not to like.

Remember, Bush declared that in that area they didn't have to honor union wages or rules due to some emergecy order. I forget the name of the act that allowed him to do this.

I want my family, friends and fellow citizens to be safe.

It's actually very simple. Government, unions and politicians in general do not value your life as much as you do.

I’m not a bit surprised. Unions pay them lower wages and still collect the same union dues from them as they do legal citizens.

When Swift was raided, the first to the defense of the illegals was the Meatcutter’s Union because those caught were members.

My former husband was forced out of the same union at age 51 after a 30 year career due to the influx of illegal aliens working their way up through the ranks in the industry. Today, you can’t buy a piece of meat that hasn’t been handled, at some point, by an illegal alien.

Bush had temporarily suspended parts of the Davis-Bacon Act. Luckily, it turned out to actually be temporary.

Republican Main Street Partnership -- 2005 was a year of major legislative successes for the Republican Main Street Partnership.

Davis-Bacon Prevailing Wage Rate Requirements – After hurricane Katrina, President Bush suspended the Davis-Bacon prevailing wage provisions for federal construction projects.  Our House Members successfully demonstrated that this was not saving the federal government any money and persuaded the President to rescind his action, thus restoring important wage protections for workers.

The unions WANT illegals. I’m just shocked the rank and file don’t complain about it.

Mississippi and much of the South are non-union states. Illegals are re-building the Miss. coast and Louisiana.

I accept that what you say seems fairly true at times. What I think happens more often than not is these folks get caught up in their own goals and don’t realize they have obligations to other concerns as well. Is it intentional? I don’t think so. I do however think the end result and outward appearance gives us cause to say things like you have.
