Four firefighters are suing the city of San Diego for being forced by their superiors to attend the annual "Gay Pride" parade where they endured a barrage of sexual taunts and lewd gestures.
San Diego's fire chief, Tracy Jarman, is an open lesbian who called the July 21 parade a "fun event" in which "all employees are encouraged to participate."
But the firefighters said, unlike previous years, they were ordered into uniform to participate in the parade in their fire truck, despite repeated their protests.
The firefighters' legal counsel, the Thomas More Law Center, said the men were "left with the Hobson's choice of either violating their conscience or being disciplined for disobeying a direct order."
The firefighters, described as devoted husbands and fathers, said they were subject to the most vulgar kinds of sexual harassment.

That’s what I said in a previous post....she has an agenda.
If she had kept her sexual preference to herself, there would NOT have been a problem. She chose to make it an issue, and because she’s pushing an agenda NOT related to firefighting, she should resign or get fired.
No your wrong the issue is that a woman runs the fire department. The only reason she has the job is because of affirmative action, and the fact that standards had to be lowered to let women pass. By her being a Lesbian, they get a twofer.
In San Francisco, at one point they were giving preference to Asian Females. Which meant that a 4’ 11” 90 lb minority was given preference over a 6’6” 200 lb white guy. Who do you think was better able to pull someone from a fire?
We need to stand up to the stupidity of affirmative action, that puts women in jobs they cannot handle. There would not be a problem if a married white guy was in charge.
Of course it’s a PC world. Was this person promoted to fire chief because she’s a woman, or because she’s a lesbian? Only the libs on the city council can answer that question.
If a woman can carry a grown man out of a burning building, then she should be considered for a firefighting
post.....I doubt that many women can. Then again, lesbians tend to be more muscular than heterosexual women,
so there we are.
I’m sure there were male heterosexuals who were more qualified to be fire chief, but that’s what happens when liberalism and “affirmative action” are the major factors in hiring.

Then they would get religion and morality and we would not have perverts in charge of making life or death decisions. We would all be better off if we did not exclude Christianity from government, and if the firemen said a prayer before they fought a fire.

I think it was done as a way of harrasing them into resigning. Do it so we can find PC replacements.
I bet a few of these four men had families and were good at their jobs. It is the only way the left wingers could maximize the discomfort to get them to quit.
The harassment will not end with just this, they will be ordered to special diversity training, special ride alongs for civilians until they reach the point where their lesbian firechief can say they either were fired for refusing lawful orders or quit because they could not do the job.
The standards are lowered for PC leveling. Everyone knows this.

Then HOW did you even know that they were sodomites (you use the word “gay,” but they are certainly not). They came out with it in some “way, shape or form.” Sodomites will now always come out with it in some “way, shape or form” because they have now forced the door open. You seem to be approving of them.
A Christian who witnesses to you of Christ and the Gospel of the Grace of God is concerned for your eternal safety and felicity.
Such is the result of “tolerance.”

It’s funny you should mention about the standards being lowered.......
In regards to the physical requirements being lowered, that’s what happened when women starting joining the military in larger numbers some years ago.
When women started to be assigned to U.S. Navy combat vessels, I wondered, “If an Exocet missile hits one of these vessels in wartime, will a woman be able to carry one of her wounded male shipmates to safety?”
I agree with your comments regarding Christianity.
I’m just saying, in this PC, liberal, anti-Christian environment we currently live in, Christian values are scorned while anything and everything abnormal is celebrated. It’s an upside down world.
Unfortunately, the PC politicians would fire an overtly Christian fire chief in a heartbeat.
Since when has San Diego sunk to the level of naming a Lesbian a fire chief for the shole city?

I don’t have to approve of something to tolerate it. Ever hear of live and let live? The people I have known and worked with either openly let you know they were gay, or it just came up when discussing things like family life, etc. I have heard people like you all my life and one thing I have learned.....If you were able to get rid of the “sodomites” you would then turn your attention to someone else, like everyone who does not believe as you do. And since I am not a Christian, I am sure that people like me would demand your attention as well. Good luck with your campaign. If you get bored I am sure that the Westboro Babtist Church group will let you carry a sign for them....if you are rightous enough and have enough hate for everyone.
If the city fires her ASAP, the city can probably avoid liability. If they offer any support for her, the city is screwed.
Or care enough for you not to see you burn forever.
And I am sure if it were possible it would be “You can’t see that movie, read that book, shop on Sunday. But we are only doing it because we love you and do not want to see you burn forever. Save it bub. I’ll live my life, and you can live yours.
