“Even if he’s guilty, we’re supporting him!”
Well, by golly, that sure is a generous view.

They need to hold an event to honor both Vick and Edwards. Sort of a dog and pony show.

"We need to support him no matter what the evidence reveals," Steele said before the convention began ... So if Vick is convicted, it will mean that the SCLC supports dog fighting. How barbaric.

For all his sponsors to drop him, they must have some big evidence on him.
Makes me sick to think about what he did to those dogs and I am not a pit bull lover.
I do feel if he is guilty they should throw him in a pen with about 6 pit bulls.

The Race Card has been played. Mr. Vick will never be convicted. It may be all hung juries and never an acquittal, but regardless how much damming evidence the government puts on, there will never be a conviction either.
Here is the sad reality. It takes all 12 jurors' votes to convict. At least one, probably three or four will be Black.
Just as the Iraqi soccer team leadership could never go home after winning the recent tournament, no Black man or woman is going to be willing return to their neighborhood to face the crazies after convicting Michael Vick.
That is the sad reality in 2007 America.

There was a massive letter-writing campaign in the animal welfare world about this (which I support, fwiw).

Malkin lit some guy up last night over this while guest hosting ‘The Factor’. We had company, so I couldn’t follow it all, but she did what she does....very well as always.
Pet your dog tonight, and be thankful he or she never met Mr Vick.

Or perhaps it is politically incorrect to do so?
The AG of North Carolina apparently agrees. Crystal Mangum the prostitute who falsely claimed rape against the Duke students has never been prosecuted. The AG says she has 'mental health' issues yet she still has custody of her three or four children.

The fact that Crystal was never charged yet has custody of children has caused at least two talking heads - Goslee(sp?) was one - to suggest that something did happen with the lacrosse players. I also wondered why no effort was made to trace the DNA found on her - was it Brodhead's, Nifong's or somebody from his office, the mayor's?
I don't get why Vick would have been honored to begin with?

Same attitude as with OJ, Kobe and Michael Jackson.

It may never get to trial, as Mr. Vick may be wise to consider a deal.
Especially considering the breadth and depth of the growing case against him.
