I don’t know about Republicans losing more seats - I just believe that pro lifers will stay home (like me) and that this will ultimately weaken the GOP. On the bright side, no self respecting pro lifer could vote for a Demo. They are the party of Death.

My projection is based on what Bush’s dad did to the Republican party during his single term in office.

Pro-lifers will not vote for a pro-abortion candidate, no matter who the candidate is.
The GOP better realize this fact before 2008, or they can count on losing big time to the Dems.

I'm not a Rudy supporter, but what do you want him to say? He's excommunicated himself on two counts.
He answered the question the best way he could and he's right. The state of his soul is between him, the priest and God.
I wonder if he thinks this makes him closer in power/influence to Rush. He’s trying to take what he believes is the pragmatic road here, and as far as I can tell it’s a road that is going to either lead him squarely into a huge immovable wall, or off a cliff.

Well if you go by what the pope dictates there are damned few good Catholics in the US. How many actually believe that birth control of any kind is out of the question? I am betting the number is a lot less than those who use them among the faithful. And for the record, I am not a Rudy fan or supporter.

Not at all Rudy would be the end or the republican party and if you think he can be trusted with supreme nominations think again , Rudy wouldn’t recognize the constitution if you smacked him in the head with it ,, just look at his anti-constitutional positions ,,, at least we could unite in opposing Hillary ,, but Rudi’s nominations would be something we would have to gag over and swallow whole... face it of those two there isn’t a pennies worth of difference except that Hillary is honest about her positions as a Stalinist... ALSO I would think that Hillary would be MUCH more aggressive in defending this country as she couldn’t afford for us to be attacked and the libs would give her a pass on any offensive action taken...
