Authorities hunting for suspects in the killings of three college students in a Newark schoolyard over the weekend taped a segment of the "America's Most Wanted" television show at the murder scene today in hopes of enlisting a national audience to help solve the killings. As investigators continued to follow leads in the slayings, Essex County Prosecutor Paula Dow visited the Mount Vernon School where the victims were shot execution-style on Saturday night to tape an interview for the nationally syndicated television show.
"They have been very successful at times in breaking cases by the nature of their national audience," Dow said. In the "America's Most Wanted" segment, which will air on FOX Saturday night if the crime remains unsolved, Dow encouraged people in the community to come forward with information, said Paul Loriquet, a spokesman for the prosecutor's office. Dow today declined to comment in detail on progress in the investigation, but said detectives were working around the clock. "We are pursuing many of the things that have come our way as well as going over what little evidence was developed at the crime scene," she said. One potential lead fell flat when security cameras mounted on the perimeter of the school failed to capture any evidence, authorities said today.
"Unfortunately, the cameras were not working very well. Killed in the attack - which has sparked outrage in Newark and across the state - were Terrance Aeriel, 18, Dashon Harvey, 20, and Iofemi Hightower, 20, all students at Delaware State University. Aeriel's sister, Natasha, 19, was shot in the face and left for dead, but managed to survive and remains hospitalized in fair condition today, authorities said. Between surgeries and doses of pain medication, she has been providing details of the attack to police, authorities said.

they certainly were and doing what millions of students have done for decades—hanging out in the schoolyard on a warm summer night, they made the fatal mistake of doing so in a war zone in a crap-hole city in NJ.
I **try** to be steadfast against the death penalty, but in cases like this, why should the people (for lack of a better word) who did this still be allowed to walk the earth?
