God, it is in faith that You hear us when we pray that we come into Your throne room this day to seek your loving-kindness and mercy. We honor You as God alone and place You first place in our hearts and lives.

We pray for our brother-President, George W. Bush. Because he is one of Yours, we are confident in You and Your Word concerning him. You have given him the Spirit of Truth, which leads him in truth and shows him things to come. For that we are grateful. Spirit of Truth, keep him from being led astray by liars and agents of the antichrist. Protect him from those who speak from the viewpoint of the world, the spirit of falsehood. Strengthen him to walk in the light as You are in the light and to keep himself in Your love so that the wicked one does not touch him.

Our defenders of freedom are diligently on duty to protect us. With that same diligence, we pray for You to safeguard them. Hide them in Your secret place and bless the work of their hands. We ask You for victory. When they return to their private lives, order their steps and provide appropriate employment and support. Prepare their families and give them patience and understanding.

Complete the work that You have begun in Your children living in the U.S.A. Strengthen, embolden and anoint us to spread Your love and bring more people safely into Your kingdom. Help us to make this country a praise unto You as we keep our eyes on You and Your kingdom.

Thank You for Your faithfulness, Oh God. We receive the answers to our prayers in the name of Jesus Christ.

As our President prepares to leave for his time of rest and vacation, we ask that You would grant him complete renewal in body, mind, and spirit. May Your peace surround him and may Your love uphold him. Thank You for this time in his life when he may escape to a quiet place. Will do. I have a prayer request,too. A church friend and her family went to the movies Sat. afternoon. While they were there their teenage daughter complained about her back hurting. By the time they left, she was in excruciating pain. They took her to the Er where they ran tests and blood work. She has leukemia and is now at St. Jude’s in Memphis. She will be in the 8th grade and is home schooled. The rest of the family are in Memphis, too. As far as I know, she has not been ill before. This was a complete shock to the family.
