Obama could be Hillary’s “Quayle,” but I don’t see any good reason for her to pick Obama.

1. She already has Illinois sewed up...it’s her home state.

Recall the media feeding frenzy in the 2000 campaign when Bush got sandbagged by a journalist on facts about the leaders of a few obscure and largely irrelevant new nations.

What are we to make of a candidate who has not briefed himself on a nation that is a close friend and ally and is the US's biggest international trading partner.

And this man sits in the US Senate voting on international trade matters.

Perhaps his picture of Canada is "moose, mountains and mounties".

Canada has had responsible government since 1848. The Parliament Of Canada was around long before Confederation. Every Canadian schoolchild knows until 1867, there was Canada West and Canada East.
