MAYOR BOOKER BARES FUNERAL FURY [Carranza slaying]
NY POST ^ | August 12, 2007 | LORENA MONGELLI, SUSANNAH CAHALAN and LEELA de KRETSER

A seething Newark Mayor Cory Booker pounded his fists and screamed "Enough is enough!" capturing the fury of rage-blinded mourners who asked why authorities left an accused child rapist free to massacre a trio of promising young people. Tears and grief gave way to anger and outrage at the funeral services for Deshon Harvey, 20, Terrance "T.J." Aeriel, 18, and Iofemi Hightower, 20, held at churches throughout the crime-stricken city still reeling from the senseless murders.......

I’m not sure anyone actually read the article your cited.

While Booker first blames society in general (”... We should all take responsibility...”), he later goes on to personally apologize: “I want to repent to this church. I’ve made mistakes in this city,” Booker said.

And then the Police Director made his statement:

“I bring an apology that we did not prevent this tragedy,” Newark Police Director Gary McCarthy said at Hightower’s funeral, before vowing to bring all of the monsters who executed the college-bound teen to justice.

“If I personally have to chase people across the country and across the earth, I will,” he said.

And from Corzine:

An emotional Gov. Jon Corzine was also repentant.

“We have failed our children,” Corzine said.

Still citing the article, “But the politicians’ apologies were little consolation for Hightower’s father, Willie Garvin Jr., who broke down in sobs outside the church when asked about the bungling that allowed illegal immigrant Jose Carranza, 28, free to allegedly massacre his daughter.

“They better pray they keep them in jail and catch all of them,” the devastated dad said. “They all need to pay.

“Don’t let my child die in vain. I remember her smile. Remember all the good times. Remember all the good she did.””

So between the three of them, it SEEMS like they realize they let a dangerous, repeat offender murderous thug out when he should have been locked up. It looks like they finally get it. But only time will tell.

I think that sounds more realistic than the claim of him being 28 years old.

The SS transfers happen most commonly with contractor type positions. Also with the section 8 housing. The homes get rented to a name, the people turn over happen every few months. But the names on the mail stay the same.

"I wonder if the president will call the Congress back early, and make it illegal to have sanctuary cities, (lose federal funding if they do so.).......... "You aren't talking about our current president are you? He's probably on the phone to Mexico City every time Chertof announces another symbolic reminder that their "comprehensive and bipartisan" sell out got dumped.

" You say illegal aliens are setting fire to forests and fields along the border to
distract U.S. Border Patrol Agents to make their crossing easier, and throwing
Molotov cocktails at US agents’ vehicles, and setting fire to their observation posts? "

"I'm the Homeland Security Chief. What do you want me to do about it? "

The only thing that would convince me that they were sincere would be for them to call for President Bush to immediately and effectively secure our borders. For them to announce they were signing up for the 287 (g) program, and most importanty, if they were sincere in recognizing their failure....for them to announce EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, NO MORE SANCTUARY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS!! Anything less than that is unacceptable.

Don't give them any ideas, they might be wondering what to do with all the butane lighters collected at the airport.

Politicians, like diapers, need to be changed frequently and for the same reason.

Yes, I agree. Illegals have an inherent disrespect for our law the second they enter our country, and for our lawmakers to have such leniency toward them is unforgivable. Especially when these aliens so easily “graduate” from their lawlessness re: immigration to driving drunk and on to more violent crimes. They do so because they know their punishment will be minimal.

The Newark Star-Ledger has covered the victims extensively - their biographies, testimonies to their good character, full pages today on their funerals.

Most murders in Newark get very little coverage - the rare white kid killed in the suburbs gets twenty times the space of a Newark kid, gang-involved or not. But the paper is going all out this time.

Nonsense, either his relatives are in key positions as you claim or they are not.

You post rumors that can easily be substantiated or disproven then ridicule one who asks to see your proof. That my friend is cheap.

"The news media is carrying more pictures of this scumbag than pictures of the actual victims."
They've barely received a mention in this thread either.

The outrage in every post here wouldn't exist if it weren't for the victims and the implication is always there. That said, they are in my prayers as well.

What’s the problem?

If Booker’s relatives in government positions is “public fact” and “everybody” knows about it——Booker’s announcing his relatives appointments MUST be on the internet.

Nobody’s stopping you from searching the net for all this “public information.”

So, go ahead. Have at it, ol’ bean.......with my blessings.

Houses where meth has been made are so dangerous to live in that they are declared condemned and the detox people have to clean the walls and everything and declare them fit to live in again..

Usually much of the rock wall etc has to be replaced...

We have so many in our county..Last month I read that 10 houses were fit to live in again and would be sold..

Personally I would not want to live in one...

A judge in Chattanooga has the job of putting children from Meth houses under county protection..She said one little 4 yo boy who had lived his whole life in the house had no teeth (rotted out) and his body was wore out like a 40 yo..he wont live a long life and his body is destroyed now..
