I doubt sincerely that even if the Holy Father personally called them that they travel to the Vatican to be defrocked or even if only to get their robes singed in a verbal lashing.

The Church of Rome has issued a stand on these LT’s(Liberation Theologists). Ex-communicate them and be done with it.
