Virgin boss RICHARD BRANSON threw a glass of water over U.S TV host STEPHEN COLBERT after he was banned from talking about his new budget airline.
Branson was being interviewed by Colbert in a front of a live studio audience in New York when he attacked the host.
Colbert, who fronts The Colbert Report, retaliated by throwing a bottle of water at Branson.
A Virgin spokesman insists Branson was invited on the show to talk about his new low cost U.S. service, but was banned from doing so once the cameras started rolling.
The spokesman adds, "Richard did throw his water over Stephen. As most people know, Richard can be unpredictable."
Sounds more like a PR campaign stunt than a real confrontation sparked by anger.
We ARE talking about it, aren’t we?
And only a liberal would retaliate likewise.
That’s what I think as well.
You post was observant. Like they say there is no such thing as bad publicity. This may well have been a stunt dreamed up by Colbert and Branson. Note there would be nearly ZERO free press for Branson’s new airline absent the controversy. But here we are.
Bingo...
Colbert gets a "rep" for a tune-in factor, and Branson gets to have everybody asking "why wouldn't Colbert let you talk about your new, low-cost airline?
He’s crazy like a fox.
I notice they try to look like they attack both sides, but in reality only attack Republicans. For example they will go into a 2 minute tirade about how stupid a republican christian policy positions are, and try to point out alleged hypocricy in the positions.. then for 10 seconds make fun of a Democrat’s hair. See they made fun of both parties.
ARE THE 14 - 19 YR OLD DEMOGRAPHICS REALLY WHO THESE CHANNELS/SHOWS ARE AFTER FOR THEIR TARGET AUDIENCE???
And anyone who actually saw this and believes it wasn’t completely staged needs their head examined.....
They’re both laughing as they’re doing it, trying to trump each others’ ego, and shake hands almost immediately after....
