A California appeals court has set oral arguments for an appeal of Sen. Hillary Clinton's dismissal from a $17 million fraud case in which her husband already is a defendant.

Along with ruling whether the New York Democrat should also be a defendant in the case, the court will be asked to decide whether she committed a felony by soliciting campaign contributions of more than $1.2 million.

As WND has reported, Peter Franklin Paulclaims in his civil fraud suit the former president destroyed his entertainment company to get out of a $17 million deal in which Clinton promised to promote the firm in exchange for stock, cash options and massive contributions to his wife's 2000 campaign.

What do you want to bet that the plaintiff is charged for disturbing the ruling class?

Doug I’ll tell you what makes me nervous about this stuff. When Bill was in office every damn time something bad came out about him, be it legal, ethical or criminal his popularity went up. Now granted Hillary can’t stick out her lower lip and pull the same BS but I’m not sure we shouldn’t just put all of our stock into defeating her on political grounds only.

btw I’m not saying a crime should not be prosecuted as a crime. I’m simply saying appearances of political motivation MAY allow her to obfuscate the issue.

Bill was able to get away with it because he was seen as an affable boob with a shrewish fishwife. SHE can't duplicate that scenario......

Isn’t this part of defeating her politically? We are showing the electorate her criminal behavior. If we can change the minds of a small percentage of voters, that will make a difference.

The Bush justice dept is never going to put Hillary in leg irons. This is a private citizen, who was once worth $30 million, whose company was destroyed by the Clintons. The civil case is going to expose what she had done without the help of the Bush justice dept. That justice dept only goes after Republicans.

Doug

The whole video would not down load. Perhaps the server is being overwhelmed. I have this question, what would constitute taking part (legally) in the raising and control of that money.? Does the video back this up? Is there a paper trail to back this up? That will be the crucial thing in court.

I have gotten word from a Wall Street insider that there are some rumblings and concerns about this, including concerns by the union thugs.

Is Hillary ordered to appear or will it only be her slimy lawyers?

Whatever the outcome of this appeal regading Hillary, when do you think the civil trial will get going?

Just in time before the '08 elections, I hope.
