I’m thinking the same, however the article doesn’t refers to the bridge bobing you mentioned, but to an attack on Yazidis near Mosul. This attack (including the details such as fuel tankers etc.) was reported by others aswell, however they all have casualty figures at aprox. 20 dead.
I concur that unless we get real confirmation Reuters is (again) using vastly exaggerated numbers.

No. Mosul is Iraqi territory. It’s however close to Kurdish authonomy territory. There are also many Kurds in Mosul. This is the border area with blended populations.
It’s 12:55 am in Baghdad now so to get a report just now that 175 got killed 9 hours ago is pretty unusual.

The YNET story came out a little after the Reuters story but no mention of such a massive blast that took 175.
