We are half way through the month before “the report” and the civilian death toll is coming in at about a 30% decrease with the US troop death is equal to last month, a 9 month low, so the media is performing their own surge to pump up the numbers knowing that about half the civilian death toll can’t be confirmed.
Killing 27 Yazidis with 3 suicidal fuel tankers just means that the Yazidis said “No” to joining Al Qaeda, triggering said attack.
Killing 27 when their press release was to claim 250 killed just goes to show how much Al Qaeda depends on the news media...

Most of them died in a co-ordinated series of blasts apparently targeting a Kurdish religious minority in north-western Iraq.
Ten others were killed when a bridge in northern Baghdad was destroyed by a suicide blast.

But they managed to get out the headline of 175 dead so that is what people will believe. It even survives here on FR.

I smell another MSM faux news fiasco in the making. The vast inflation of casualties from an ominous source is more than suspect. There were at least 3 false reports by Reuters on Attacks in Iraq in the last two weeks.
