Newark Police Director: Immigration Status Of Schoolyard Slayings Suspect "Irrelevant"
Millennium Radio New Jersey ^ | Wednesday, August 15, 2007 | By: Martin Di Caro

Posted on 08/15/2007 5:31:08 AM PDT by Calpernia

At a news conference on Tuesday, Newark Police Director Gary McCarthy said the immigration status of a chief suspect in the murders of three college students behind an elementary school August 4 is "irrelevant."

"What's relevant to me is that they're murderers, and what's relevant is that a heinous crime has occurred," said McCarthy.

Jose Carranza, 28, one of three suspects so far charged in the execution-style killings, is an illegal alien from Peru. However, despite his many encounters with the legal system, his immigration status wasn't determined. Had federal immigration officials known Carranza was arrested in connection with child rape allegations first in January and then again in May, they could have immediately moved to detain the accused at his bail hearings. But federal officials were never notified. Carranza posted $150,000 bail and was freed in late May.

McCarthy contended there were no guarantees the feds would have acted. "They might have and they might not have," he said. Before he could be asked another question by reporters, Newark Mayor Cory Booker interjected. "It is no way the obligation of the city police department to bo going around doing the work of [Immigration and Customs Enforcement]." Booker added that talk focusing on Carranza's imigration status could have a chilling effect on immigrants in his city. He said immigrants, both legal and illegal, are routinely picked on by criminals.

Booker and McCarthy revealed no specific information about the ongoing hunt for three more suspects, two of whom are juveniles. The 24-year-old being sought, Rodolfo Godinez of Newark, was a fugitive on the night of the murders and has been for four years. He became a fugitive in July 2003 after failing to appear in Superior Court on charges that he robbed and attacked three people in Irvington a year earlier, according to court records obtained by the Star-Ledger.

The news conference was called so Mayor Booker could unveil a street surveillance program he says will reduce crime in the city's most dangerous neighborhoods. The multimillion dollar program will saturate high-crime areas with cameras and gunshot detection technology. The total number is expected to reach more than 120 when all are in place by next summer.

Has Newark’s Police director been talking with Jerry Rivers? Sounds like a CYA moment.

Is there any reason to think that these murders might have been part of a scheme to frighten blacks out of the neighborhood and allow the perpetrators or whoever they worked for to move in and turn the neighborhood into an illegal immigrant barrio?

Good point---remember that the mastermind of the slayings--- the illegal animal Carranza--- specifically asked to surrender himself to Newark Mayor Booker.

It's conceivable Black Newark Mayor Cory Booker who fancies himself a candidate for higher office (don't they all?) has political ties to Latinos and Latino gangs.

Booker musta did major Latino-sucking for votes and campaign donations for his recent Mayoral bid.

=================================

Authorties should check it out-----examine the voter rolls and Booker's campaign funding reports.

Carranze may have donated to Newark politicans and may also be illegally registered to vote, and may have voted fraudulently.

=======================================

Lotsa these illegals have several ID's and SS#, and fraudulently register to vote under different names using phony documents (preparing to exert political pressure on pols for more govt freebies).

You can bet Mexican, Central and South American drug lords are contributing bigtime to these pols.....and are registered to vote.

Actually, I referenced you to an unclear post. You may have followed it; but I wanted to clarify.

Advocacy group wants office of immigrant affairs

New Jersey Immigration Policy Network ^ | 01/24/06

10-page document issued by New Jersey Immigration Policy Network to the Governor New Jersey Immigration Policy Network, a coalition of more than 70 civil rights, community and social services organizations, recently presented Corzine with a 10-page issue paper asking him to take action within his first 100 days in office. (snip)....network executive director Partha Banerjee was optimistic. “Based on what he has done in the past, I’m very hopeful he’ll put words into action,” Banerjee said. The network wants Corzine to appoint an advisory committee to explore establishing a statewide office to coordinate services to New Jersey’s immigrant communities.

And from the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigration Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA):

Notwithstanding any other provision of Federal, State, or local law, a Federal, State, or local government entity or official may not prohibit or in any way restrict any government entity or official from sending to or receiving from the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual.

I can see he's living up to McCarthy family reputation...

“It’s no different that the “broken window” syndrome. If a person breaks the law to get in this country, then they are apt to break others.”

And it’s also the same idea of crime fighting that Giuliani apparently used to reduce crime in NYC: enforce laws against graffiti, loitering, the squeegee men, etc., then the instances of the more serious crimes will also be reduced.

But Rudy never applied his theory to crime committed by illegal aliens, a serious blind spot that is now being discussed more, and it’s about time he was flushed out on this issue.

POST #55

The bereaved families should demand prosecution for every public official who failed them.

Public employees on the government payroll failure to perform is a felony. As follows:

Public employees on the government payroll, and their co-conspirators, may have committed actionable offenses under Penal Law .135.60 COERCION IN THE SECOND DEGREE (a Class A misdemeanor).

PENAL LAW 135.60 (Committed on or after September 1, 1967) is Coercion in the Second Degree.

When an individual uses or abuses his/her position as a public servant by performing some act within or related to his or her official duties, or by failing or refusing to perform an official duty, in such manner as to affect some person adversely.

Perform any (other) act which would not in itself materially benefit the actor but which is calculated to harm another person materially with respect to his or her health, safety, business, calling, career, financial condition, reputation or personal relationships.

The term(s), ("crime"), ("public servant") used in this definition has its own special meaning in our law.

PUBLIC SERVANT means any public officer or employee of the state or of any political subdivision thereof or of any governmental instrumentality within the state, or any person exercising the functions of any such public officer or employee.

The term public servant includes a person who has been elected or designated to become a public servant.

The interesting thing about Florida is there are all kinds of animals that would appreciate snacking on scum like this, thereby destroying any evidence. Alligators, crabs, sharks, even a few big cats.
Not that I ever thought about it.

Really, you know how sometimes things/people just vanish without a trace.
I'm sure human waste such as these would never be missed.

The heart-broken families of the slaying victims are NOT going to get straight answers from the assorted morons and imbeciles at the levers of New Jersey’s legal and legislative system.

Newark government is in league with the alien hordes-—these illegal animals are raping, murdering and looting and pillaging-—and the politicians stand around and count illegal votes.

I'm convinced that some of these people actually delight in this type of mayhem. They believe that middle-class America is a criminal blight on humanity and needs to be punished; needs to "get a dose of their own medicine."

Good point. Maybe Bookers campaign endorsement from the Campaign for a National Majority, who has a directory affiliation listing with The Praxis Project, should be examined more closely!

The fact that none of these government nitwits----from the sap-happy fuzz-faced governor on down----knows that existing US law makes it a federal felony to induce an illegal alien to enter or stay in the United States is nothing short of astounding.

The government is in league with the criminals....this is organized crime John Gotti could only dream of.

===================================================

It’s nauseating every time one of the assorted morons and imbeciles at the levers of New Jersey's legal and legislative system opens his/her mouth.

A rat pack of New Jersey elected and appointed government officials---including our fuzz-faced governor---aid and abet law-breaking with complete impunity, pandering to illegals, thinking only of their own crass political ambitions.

=====================================

Disgusting to see Mayor Booker using the backs of bereaved families to ascend the political ladder.

How Newark Prosecutor Paula Dow ever got a law degree demands an immediate investigation. She is clearly an incompetent, and is impersonating a law enforcement officer. This dumb Dora can’t even read her own job description. In the real world, Dow would be held criminally responsible for the killings due to her gross dereliction of duty.

Newark Councilman Ron Rice babbling about "reporting" illegal felons (too little too late) resembles that of an individual who was lobotomized. Shockingly, this man also has a law degree but could not satisfactorily explain the legal system to Fox's Greta Van Susteren.

Booker, Rice and Dow's law degrees are not worth the paper they are printed on. They should all be disbarred and thrown out of public office. =============================================

The days of New Jersey as a sanctuary state for criminals, child molesters, and vicious gangs must come to a complete and abrupt end.

How ironic that “sanctuary cities” will be the ones destroyed by criminal aliens.
