Is it true that a capitalist will sell you the rope to hang him?
That question now hits cyberspace with a report by the Middle East Media Research Institute. According to MEMRI, RealWebHost is hosting on servers in Texas an Islamist site, Alhesbah Forum, which has apparently posted a report titled The Excellent Summary of the Rules of the Art of Kidnapping Americans.
MEMRI states that if negotiations fail, the guide recommends hanging or poisoning the hostages in order to (a) prevent an honorable death and (b) avoid those messy bloodstains. Who knew there was terrorist etiquette? Perhaps theyre trying to save money on carpet cleaning.

Has anyone bothered to let RealWebHost or their provider, Colo4Dallas know that they are hosting this before branding them as jihadist sympathizers?

Note that this isn't the first time the site has pulled a stunt like this. As mentioned in the post, back in 2005 it has a loyalty oath for Muslims to take to Osama Bin Laden and other Al-Qaeda leaders. If you look at the site's history, the host has to know at this point. It isn't a one-time deal.

Local news reports the host shut down the site. This particular host handles a lot of foreign language sites, but doesn’t directly monitor them. So, it falls on others to find the sites, read them, then inform the host companies.

Site is still up this morning. Should I believe the MSM or my eyes?

Fair enough. If they know about it, they deserve every bit of crap people throw at them. I know from experience though, that it’s easy for users to sign up and place that kind of junk and the host doesn’t really know anything about it until someone alerts them to it.

So, it falls on others to find the sites, read them, then inform the host companies. Those plotting the kidnap, torture, and murder of Americans should not be reported to the internet host company, they should be reported to the US government.

Bloodstains leave DNA evidence. Hanging and poisoning avoid blood that shooting, decapitation, and stabbing leave.

I often wonder if it isn't the case that these sites are allowed to stay up, while the entirety of the traffic is copied to a separate machine for analysis and IP address tracking.
That is, on most good Ethernet switches, you can set up a "mirror port" which duplicates all traffic on one port, to a second port. Then you hook up a monitoring system to that second port and can see all traffic into or out of the target system.

I wish we could credit the government with that type of competence. They're probably too busy tracking Free Republic traffic trying to catch non-Muslims engaged in a verbal "hate" crime against the Religion of Peace.
