Part of immigration reform should include a ban on sanctuary cities.

Had authorities in Newark New Jersey contacted federal immigration officials after illegal alien Jose Carranzas first felony indictment last year he would have been deported and therefore prevented from murdering three innocent youngsters in a schoolyard this month. Someone in city government should be prsoecuted for turning this animal loose to prey on the citizenry.
And in all the coverage I have seen no mention of motive. Was it a robbery or is he just that depraved?

It also urges county prosecutors to notify federal immigration officials of adjudicated illegal aliens whether or not they get convicted. This is a key point. In many states the County/District/States Attorney is elected and is largely independent of state control. Prosecutors should always report criminal aliens to ICE. In my opinion, not to report them would be a violation of their oath of office. Having said that, it is virtually impossible to get ICE to do anything about illegal criminals who are reported to them

Absolutely, the media remembers Willie Horton even if most Americans have forgotten.

All statements from Newark and Newark police seem to keep repeating “Immigration Status Irrelevant”
To: Delacon
I would love to see the survivor sue the city, and anyone else she can that might get their attention.
Sanctuary cities make me as mad as the government who won't do their job and everyone who supports, hires or defends illegal aliens
To: Delacon
These sanctuary laws are long overdue for a heavy duty challenge all the way to the Supreme Court. They should all be invalidated as unconstitutional. No way is it within the scope of the states’ powers to require their paid employees to aid and abet people in their ongoing violations of federal law.

McCarthy better watch his back. There are some pretty tough people with little to lose, who don’t find the deaths of these young people to be “irrelevant” at all.

For starters, Gary McCarthy needs to be replaced.
I recall riots in some of hour cities when police treated criminals none too gently. But no rioting here where four good kids were tortured and murdered. Did I miss the outrage from Rev. JJ?

I agree. I think this is opening up a lot of eyes in Newark. People who did not care about Illegal Immigration before are now paying attention.
I hope the libs will finally see...

Someone in city government should be prsoecuted for turning this animal loose to prey on the citizenry. AFAIK, the judges who let him out on bail (darn cheap) have complete immunity for their actions.

which is why the Rs should make it their primary campaign issue.

Alaska is a sanctuary state? I wouldn’t expect that from a blood red state all the way up north.
