I don't desire the emoluments of the office. I don't want to live a lie and clever my way to the nomination or election.

... And with a flick of the wrist Fred sends Mitt flying through the air, crashing limply into a wall.

Thompson is the real deal.

He will need our help to fend off the Dan Rathers of the Mainstream Media and the War Machine of the Domestic Traitors Party aka Democrat Party.

I know he will have millions of warriors in his corner.

It is becoming more evident that he has to calculate his odds against a shrill speaker with pant suit persona. It must be undeniable that victory is in the can. The method of getting this support is quite dangerous. Yes, I support Fred, his decision will be based on a media plan to make it happen. We’ll have to wait on the committee's answer.

Oh give us a break Fred, you have no intention of running. you are just leading those blind fools called "Fredheads" down the primrose path.

I was just told by a Mitt Romney supporter and several other “True Conservatives” that indeed you are as phony as a two dollar bill and never intended to run.....

SO Fred, lets face it, you are a has been that never was, you give tacky flowers to your wife, have been dead for several years, and you are dying of a terminal illness because of it, you have no fire in your belly (see I got it this time), you are all about the CFR stuff, which ever one I choose to bitch about in any given thread, you are lazy, you have been involved in too much and in too many things despite being a womanizing stud muffin committed to you wife, who is too young but in charge of everything, you have waited too long, you were just a senator, you are losing ground in some polls, and don't try and defend that by saying you are not a candidate because, well, OK you are not a “real” candidate, but that is no damn excuse because you support Israel and terrorist you hypocrite and I will not stand by and let you push abortion on the women of this nation just because you are pro life despite that fact that a small poll done over a decade ago seems to say you support fluoride in the drinking water and I know it was you in my backyard last night with all those Mexican immigrants you love, stealing our chickens and coming in our house to put a chip in my wife's head and because you cannot make up your mind on anything, she acts like a chicken herself, then sits down and talks about Ron Paul and because of you “imaginary” run for "President" my shrink has increased my meds you bastard....

Instead of talking about what he is going to do, he should just do it.

No judgment or support until the man finally enters the ring.

“When he says he would have opposed adding the prescription drug benefit to Medicare, “a $17 trillion add-on to a program that’s going bankrupt,” he is fighting the bipartisan judgment of the last Congress.”

Somebody has to, other than Paul and Tancredo.

Fred sees it, and he GETS IT:

~snip~

The approach Thompson says he’s contemplating is one that will step on many sensitive political toes. When he says “we’re getting a free ride” fighting a necessary war in Iraq with an undersized military establishment, “wearing out our people and equipment,” it sounds like a criticism of the president and the Pentagon.

When he says he would have opposed adding the prescription drug benefit to Medicare, “a $17 trillion add-on to a program that’s going bankrupt,” he is fighting the bipartisan judgment of the last Congress.

When he says the FBI is perhaps incapable of morphing itself into the smart domestic security agency the country needs, he is attacking another sacred cow.

~snip~

If Fred runs on any of the following political slogans, he has my vote:

“Hi, I’m from the government and I’m not here to help you.”

“You know how to spend your money better than the stupid morons in government.”

“Eat dirt, rats!”

OK, THAT was a powerful story. It spoke volumes, and it portrays a man of future greatness, a man I would go to the wall for.

The underlying message of unity is very powerful, for me, the direct hit at taxes, social security, the state of our Military, and our Intelligence agencies, gave me goose bumps, and the very idea that a President would actually go before the people and make his case, I'm sorry, but it does speak to the greatness and legacy of RR.

Finally, his statement of "national security and the fiscal crisis of an aging society with runaway heath-care costs -- are worth a portion of a man's life", tells of the magnitude and seriousness of his commitment to our Country.

As much as I admire and support Duncan Hunter and Tom Tancredo, I have to say-with an open and honest heart, that FRed is, hands down, the best, the only, choice for our Country in these times.

Rudy "wants" to be POTUS so badly, he can taste it. Mitt "needs" to be POTUS to be better and more accomplished than his Dad, FRed is asking for the privilege of serving us, and offering the remainder of his life for the honor.

America. Together. Again
Fred Thompson for President '08

"There's no reason for me to run just to be president," he said. "I don't desire the emoluments of the office. I don't want to live a lie and clever my way to the nomination or election. But if you can put your ideas out there -- different, more far-reaching ideas -- that is worth doing."

YES!!!
