How can you compare a presidential-year election to a midterm election? Can you show that voter turnout remains consistent between the two yypes of elections?

It doesn't matter. The fact is fewer voters voted in 2006 and we lost the Congress as a result. The Democrats always turn out to vote Democrat. Republicans tend to stay home when we get pissed off. The result, regardless of election, are losses... major losses.
