I would say the Pentagon go a good deal except on the shipping. I mean, who else can buy a washer for 19 cents! I guess they dry on aclothesline?

I don't think the article was talking about thos kind of washers but rather the ones that go on bolts like these

Correct. The gals who sold them to the gov’t basically knew of a weakness in the gov’t method of paying them...so they sent a false document and figured it would get lost in the system. The problem for the ladies is that someone finally caught the document and the payment...and the ladies will spend time in jail. Had the ladies simply took the cash and gone to South America...it would have been a better end for them.

Yeah, the headline is misleading. Somebody committed fraud and got the government to cough up that amount.

Almost as bad.
