I live in the Dallas/Ft Worth area and have to put up with that sycophant Mike Gallagher and his bigoted “questions”. Meanwhile, he sucks up to Fred as if it were the Second Coming.

"If he gets elected, I’d expect the first four years to be spent like Clinton, immersed in polls, and feeling the wind. The second term is what is scary. Once he doesn’t need any more votes, I think he’d revert to his liberal roots, and make us long for the conservatism of Bush’s immigration proposal."

He didn't spend his governorship that way and thus it is unlikely he will spend a presidency that way.

As Ann Coulter said, Romney hoodwinked the Liberals in Mass. into voting for him. After all this hullabalooh, as president he will govern as both a social and fiscal conservative. Once Mitt turned right, he understood there was no turning back. It is highly doubtful during a second term he will make the same mistakes as President Bush, particularly if he is as concerned as you believe, with the polls.

This is a meda hit against Republicans, as usual.

Liberals hate turncoats. They had Romney in their back pocket for decades. Of course they're not going cut him any slack. Why are you surprised?

I find it curious those quotes do not offer any links to the source so the entire article can be read in context.

So essentially what Ann and you are saying is Romney was a fake and now we should trust him?

I don't put my faith in liars or frauds no matter how well they dance.

Fred is a good candidate, but he's no more conservative than Mitt, and certainly is no second coming. Fortunately for Fred, he was Senator in a conservative state, and likely ran to the right of his opinions in order to capture that seat.

Unlike Fred, Mitt is no Washington insider and he made his money in private enterprise, not as a Washington lobbyist. Governor Romney has far more executive experience, and a creative mind full of ideas that would be good for Washington. The fact that he is even more articulate than the great communicator himself, Ronald Reagan is also a plus. Conservatives should encourage Mitt to use those abilities, to educate and advance the conservative ideology, as Reagan so enthusiastically did.

I am sorry to hear Mike Gallagher is for Fred. He's on late in my area. I'll have to listen and give him a call.

No. Ann was saying Romney's the real thing who duped the Liberals.

Personally, I believe Romney should have run as a conservative, emphasizing some issues more important and particular to Mass. over others, rather than running as more of a Liberal. Perhaps people who say he couldn't have won the governorship in Mass. that way are correct, but I'm not inclined to agree with them. Now he's having a difficult time trying to prove to his base he's not one of them, but one of us. It is a lesson not only for Governor Romney but for us all.

I do believe Romney is doing all the right things to overcome it, and believe eventually he will.

"Them" in the above sentence meaning LIBERALS.

taxpayer funded abortions — we already have addressed that on another thread, which you refuse to respond to.

You're out of touch. I've posted the proof many times here, including yesterday. Go to the CommonwealthCare state website and you will see that it provides abortions. It's an indisputable fact.

Implemented gay marriage? — what in the blazes are you talking about?

He changed the marriage licences and told the justices of the peace they would be fired if they did not perform gay marriages...even though there is still, to this day, not a single law or constitutional provision that allows it, much less requires it.

As Judge Robert Bork said of the Goodridge decision that prompted Romney's perfidy, the whole thing was completely "...untethered to either the Massachusetts or United States Constitution."

And there is no doubt whatsoever that Mitt Romney used his exutive power to implement it.

signed weapons ban? — oh yeah, when was that?

July 08, 2004

"Deadly assault weapons have no place in Massachusetts. These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people." - Mitt Romney

filled public schools with vilest homosexual propaganda? — again, what in the blazes are you talking about?

Romney's Commission on Gay and Lesbian Youth used huge taxpayer funding to promote homosexuality in the public schools

Romney's Commission organized public gay "Youth Pride Day" parades and "transgender proms" which promote unhealthy and risky behavior

Romney issues a proclamation celebrating gay "Youth Pride Day"

Romney's Department of Education promotes the homosexual agenda

Romney's Department of Public Health (DPH) cooperates with the homosexual activist movement

Romney opposed federal legislation that would stop public schools from promoting homosexuality

Romney's Dept. of Social Services honors homosexual "married" couple as adoptive "Parents of the Year"

The Mitt Romney Deception

LOL...it’s a mountain of evidence of Romney’s hard left record. No wonder Romney hacks want to try to kill the messenger.

It’s good that Governor Romney discovered it and I admire him for doing the right thing. It isn’t easy keeping track of ones investments, when one has as many as Mitt, even when one has a mind too.

It isn't easy. Mitt's investments don't suggest anything near the hypocrisy of Senator Breck Girl.

Again for those in the cheap seats, my post from another thread you ignored:

Commonwealth Care funds health insurance premiums for private health insurance carriers.

The private health insurance carrier pays for abortions.

Using this logic (which is tantamount to headline reading), then every single private health insurance plan paid for by the state for state employees that pays for abortions is “taypayer-funded abortions.” Every single year we bailed out hospitals for free care (which may have included abortions) given to uninsured MA residents is “taxpayer-funded abortions.”

Every candidate who is in Congress who voted for Medicare/Medicaid legislation voted for “taxpayer-funded abortions.”

FOIA request for info on how many abortions have been paid for is nice gossip rag level headline, but it will yield nothing as HIPAA will not allow private health insurance carriers to reveal that type of information to the state. So it is all a dog and pony show. As usual.

___________
You stated that Romney signed legislation banning assault weapons — still waiting for that proof (don’t exhaust yourself with the google, because he never did any such thing).
___________

Gay and Lesbian groups in high schools in MA? honestly, are you kidding me right now? That predates Romney http://www.doe.mass.edu/frameworks/health/1999/1099.pdf, and I honestly will pass on your little website as I have no desire to fact check the cherry picking of articles they present with no links.

Quite obviously these flacks for Mitt will ignore anything to defend this flippity flopping flunker from conservative principles. The arguments that Mitt cannot monitor or choose investments in a blind trust seems to be moot now that he has said he is dumping the stocks HE AND HIS WIFE purchased before dumping them into a blind trust which isn’t so blind after all. As Mitt’s reputation goes down, so goes the reputation of his blind sycophancy at FR.

You are seriously deluded. Mitt signed a permanent AWB in Massachusetts, supported and supports a federal AWB, and says "assault weapons" should be banned because they're meant for killing people.

It's not some secret -- Mitt is very open about it.

If Mitt is proud of banning assault weapons, why would you deny it? This is the weird Mitt-worship mentality that infects too many of you people. It's some sort of Cult of Romney.

I honestly will pass on your little website as I have no desire to fact check

This is what always happens with the Mitt-worshipers. We provide links to the facts, you simply pretend the proof doesn't exist.

You remind me of a well-known movie scene...

Storm trooper: Let me see your identification.
Obi-Wan: [with a small wave of his hand] You don’t need to see his identification.
Storm trooper: We don’t need to see his identification.
Obi-Wan: These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.
Storm trooper: These aren’t the droids we’re looking for.
Obi-Wan: He can go about his business.
Storm trooper: You can go about your business.
Obi-Wan: Move along.
Storm trooper: Move along... move along.

Sorry, but “Lovebloggers” you’re no Obi-wan.

Not with my vote, the platform he ran on was not as a conservative, why should we trust him now?
