It might be working since the hubbub from the Dems in Congress seems much reduced.
Baird sees some progress in Iraq
Baird: Early departure from war bad for Iraq
Tell people the truth of what is happening there and support for our Troops will increase.
I voted, and the poll is being Freeped.
Below is a fast and easy link to this poll:
ANSWER: How The F*** Should I Know???? I'm not THERE!!!
I agree with bolobaby, only people THERE should answer.
19 no
What impressed me is that no one bothered to register "no opinion" as usually there are at least a few vote "no opinion". I always wonder why bother to vote "no opinion"?
The real question here should be, “How the heck should we know if the surge is working?” The whole premise of asking people in the US if a military action in Iraq is working is just plain stupid.

Because those who have visited Iraq recently (Dick Durbin, Michael O’Hanlon and Kenneth Pollack of the Brookings Institution, Keith Ellison, and Brian Baird, have all stated that real progress is being made in Iraq and that pulling back precipitously would be potentially catastrophic.
Also, Reid, Pelosi, and Murtha have been very silent about “surrender now.” That alone should be convincing enough.
For you to ask the question “How the heck should we know?” is in truth, plain stupid.

I have no reason to believe that any of the people you listed have any way of knowing whether the surge is working. I don’t trust Dick Durbin to accurately observe anything.
All we know is what we hear and read in the media. I don’t believe much of that, certainly not enough to make an informed decision about the surge.
The real question here is about the validity of the survey. Taking a survey of uninformed opinion and then reporting it as fact is stunningly stupid.
