What can happen if the Senate passes S.1105, the so-called "Hate Crimes" legislation
American Family Association ^

Posted on 08/18/2007 11:10:35 AM PDT by Arcy

There are people in your community that so hate what you have to say, they are willing to put a gun to your head to stop you from speaking; even if they have to do so vicariously using the police powers of government.

They hate it when you talk about God. They hate it when you pray. They hate to see you reading your bible. And they absolutely hate it when you share these in a public forum. Their hatred of God and His word has so filled their hearts, they want you silenced.

Senate Bill S.1105 is the so-called "Hate Crimes" bill. This video is about a real life example of what can happen if it passes. The ACLJ is fighting this on behalf of all freedom loving American's. Support them in their efforts if you can.

It sounds like the “government” is attempting to take away our First Amendment rights. Those rights belong to us and they are not granted by the so-called “govenment.” IT’S OUR JOB TO TELL THEM NO! This must be “the right direction” the Commie ‘RATS are always talking about.

In the video (link above) police actually came to the door of a couple who simply voiced concern over homosexual books.

The former United States of America is rapidly becoming a police state. Law enforcement would much rather go after law-abiding citizens for petty crap than go after real criminals. Less of a hassle and not as dangerous. The "right direction?"

This is the list of aberrations in the House Resolution which would be protected under the Hate Crimes Bill, as passed by the House and sent to the Senate.

“Does that mean I can no longer have any bad thoughts?”

Actually, yes. If the left can prove by your words or actions that you have any thoughts not consistent with their “religious” liberal dogma, they want you jailed.

And, anyone that doesn’t think that this is exactly where the leftists want to take us, should get a new dealer.

The former United States of America is rapidly becoming a police state.

If you read these bills, you'll find that Congress claims the authority to pass such legislation under the New Deal "substantial effects" doctrine.

"I write separately only to express my view that the very notion of a ‘substantial effects’ test under the Commerce Clause is inconsistent with the original understanding of Congress’ powers and with this Court’s early Commerce Clause cases. By continuing to apply this rootless and malleable standard, however circumscribed, the Court has encouraged the Federal Government to persist in its view that the Commerce Clause has virtually no limits. Until this Court replaces its existing Commerce Clause jurisprudence with a standard more consistent with the original understanding, we will continue to see Congress appropriating state police powers under the guise of regulating commerce."

-Justice Clarence Thomas

I intensely dislike the words “hate crime” because that’s the same as “irregardless”, i.e., no such thing.

If you read the bill, you see how the Marxist use the “interstate commerce clause” to give them the legal right to enact this bill. If it were not for the extreme liberal interpretation of the “interstate commerce clause” Congress could not pass 90% of its bills.

In other word this bill in un-Continual and they are getting around it by claming it has to do with interstate commerce.

It seems everyting would fall under the commerce clause. Starting with the Post Office and “ending” with the Internet.

If you buy that New Deal "living document" crap, it does.

You could purchase a copier from Texas, have it shipped to your office in Illinois and print flyers on it about your aversion to homosexuality. Off to jail you go, (So it seems). Is this an obscure possibility?
