"Before New Federal/Local Laws Kick-In, Local Businessmen Unite to Help Illegals"(TRANSLATION)

PROJECT: COUNTERINTELLIGENCE

SUBJECT: ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION / RESPONSE ON THE U.S. LOCAL LEVEL

FILE: OPPOSITION RESEARCH TRANSLATION: SPANISH to ENGLISH (w/BABELFISH)

Original Spanish Title: ("Ante Nuevas Regulaciones Federales y Locales Empresarios se Unen Para Ayudar a Los Inmigrantes")

Translated Text:

”By Mitzi Macias WASHINGTON HISPANIC

In order to respond to the new anti-immigrant (sic: "anti- illegal alien") regulations on the local level in Virginia and federal level, a group of businessmen met to form a coalition through which he will plead for the rights and the contributions of the immigrants (sic: "illegal aliens"). Taking the first step, the coalition is an integration of nine retail companies in the Washington D.C. area and they raised a total of $100,000 dollars to conduct the first battle. In addition, they announced an alliance with the non-profit organization in Washington, DC, that has offered their legal consultancy to any local undocumented immigrants (sic: "illegal aliens") who need it.

"This foundation will help us initiate an educative campaign and to inform the community as to what is really happening in our ("illegal alien") community. This is a united struggle and we must now band together more than ever before," says Carlos Castro, owner of Todos Supermarkets.

Another one of the intentions of the coalition is to submit to local legislators concrete proposals to defend the rights of the immigrants (sic: "illegal aliens"). "To reach them, we must make an intense lobbying backed up by prepared lawyers and that is why we need monetary support from the local Herndon business community," asserted Castro. In addition to Carlos, they have gained the support of: Elmer Arias of the American-Salvadoran Chamber of Commerce, Jose Barahona, owner of Pollo Campero Chicken, Mariano Claudio of Pinnacle Financial & The Claudio Group, Jorge Figueredo of TPI Group, Inc., as well as Paul Kyle of King Wholesale, Inc., Ana Roos of Roos Food and Jose Luis Semidey of ERA Semidey & Associates, and they have made calls to other local Northern Virginia businesspeople to get united and participate in this alliance.

"We needed the moral support all the retailers of the area, for their time and participation, but at the same time we need money to reach all our objectives and to demonstrate to the authorities the strength of our people", expressed Castro.

The objectives of the coalition of retailers are to put an end to the political futures of anti-immigrants (sic: anti-illegal aliens) in the area, to support economic opportunities of Latinos, and to educate and to mobilize the Latino community of businesses, to educate the Northern Virginia authorities and legislators about the Latino community and to protect the economic interests of the Hispanics.

"We integrated this business coalition in area because we do not want to be limited in Prince William Countyl (note: a Virginia county which recently took anti-illegal alien action) We will obviously take care of these areas first, but the movement will be more widespread and assistance is urgent." Castro said.

Business interested in working on this coalition to support illegal aliens can call Carlos Castro at (703) 675-3318 or Mauricio Vivero at (202) 250-9966. This coalition will have as it main priority work against a series of anti-immigrant (sic: "anti-illegal alien") resolutions which are spreading in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area suburbs of Virginia.

Specifically the past month of July, Prince William County approved a resolution to evaluate the possibility of denying certain services to the undocumented (sic: "illegal") people, as well as of forcing to the local sheriff to review immigration status of people. Later, Loudoun County took an example from neighboring Prince William County, but since then, other communities like Arlington County (authorities like Walter Tejada) "still nothing is law yet so we hope to follow the final decision of authorities of Prince William and Loudoun Counties." At the same time this coalition will have to evaluate the impact that these local efforts will have in the undocumented immigrant (sic: "illegal alien") community and its same businesses, regarding new crackdown rules on immigration announced Secretary of Homeland Defense, Michael Chertoff, last Friday."

“Can we get a list of those Northern Virginia businesses that hire and support illegals?
Then, stop doing business with them.”

Exactly, Just ring them up and let them know and spread their phone numbers to all interested parties.

The “local business community” includes businesses like the following:

The article outlines the charges of money laundering and tax evasion as well as hiring illegals. This particular establishment was raided by the Feds.

I would imagine the restaurant "El Pollo_____" will not be far behind.

I think someone should investigate, and also supply them with a copy of recent Federal immigration regulations to, er, just "remind them", real friendly like of course.

If any of these businesses are hiring illegals, evading taxes, or laundering money, believe me, there will be no “warning”.

Shut up!!!!

You are at the wrong place and are the wrong person to make such a ludicrous demand. I will continue to express my opinion in accordance with FR policies that apply to all Freepers. I suggest you leave FR if you can't handle people disagreeing with you.

You were told nicely by someone else to no do it but you just kept hammering it.

I appreciate your polite responses to my posting this law more than once. With all due respect, the trade off to scroll for a couple of seconds to make people aware this law exists considering the major threat illegal immigrants pose to the safety of our country is worth the minor inconvenience...

I'll hijack your thread as I please...and take it upon myself to decide what's "important" for people to read...after all, if I think it's "worth it," the end DOES justify the means...who are you, a mere poster, to decide where I can spam?

Obviously you aren't paying attention. The title of the law is Federal Immigration and Nationality Act not RICO. RICO is only a part of the law. I will continue to post the law on any illegal alien related thread. The delusion you speak for all Freepers certainly doesn't include the majority who have commented they are not aware of this law and appreciate the post.

No, I won’t quit telling you to shut up and i’m not going anywhere newebe.

Then you will continue to see me posting the law.

You were told nicely by someone else to no do it but you just kept hammering it.

If you bothered reading my responses you would see I replied nicely. I will continue to inform people so long as illegal immigration as a threat to our national security.

It's ironic you complain about my original post that has pertinent information to the thread while all your posts are filled only with insults and irrational demands. You compound the irony by obsessing with someone's posts you don't like while failing to focus on the far more important point that our country is being destroyed by illegal aliens and there are existing laws to address the problem. You would be far more effective by registering complaint with the Admin moderator instead of pretending to be the Admin Moderator. Simply Whining and moaning will get you nowhere.

Hmmmmm! Now let's see, the threads are not owned by anyone person. They are on a public domain that encourages open debate and input per the homepage. Information is provided on point to the thread and that can be used to stop the growing illegal alien threat but somehow you interpret that as spamming? Who are you, a mere poster to tell other posters what they can and cannot post?

I have been a loyal Freeper for almost 9 years now.

I think a lot of people know me.

I don't slog through translations of things just for the fun of it but do so for general debate and for the cause of liberty and FR.

It is a labor of love as well as a labor of liberty.

I do however feel somewhat as if my thread is being hijacked, and if anyone really wants to know, well, after thinking about it a bit, I am kind of tempted to post these things even less, as a service to Free Republic, if I am going to have my threads interfered with even if I ask politely for someone to stop doing something on them or maybe post a link as a compromise and they cannot even meet half of the way in a spirit of Freeper etiquette and consideration, insisting 100% on their way.

I'll put it to a general vote as to whether I should continue this contribution to FR or not, or if I am unreasonable with such a polite request.

Everytime the long boilerplate gets spammed onto my threads I notice a definite decrease in hits or posters following up. I am inclined to believe it just encourages people to give up on the thread, especially in the early stages. Nuff said, I suppose.

This movement to crack down and reduce sanctuaries is catching on, IMHO.

Yes, it is. Which means now is the time to push harder for enforcement of existing laws. Just doing that (enforcing existing law) will make the illegals stop thinking about how to steal from American Citizens and START thinking about how the gravy train is grinding to a halt and the soon to be coming one way trip south.

Since it has been brought up, I will post this thought.
I hardly post at all even though I have been here for some time. The reason is when I joined FR, I joined to get more educated and to get worth while news from around the world and to answer some questions from time to time that a few Freepers have had. For the most part I have accomplished this through people like AmericanInTokyo, a few people in the U.S., England, and other places from around the world.
However, FR has gotten to be a place of posters calling other posters names and bickering back and forth and accomplishing nothing or very little.
What I think is that if a person does not have any worth while substance to add to the article or ask a question about the article, then they should not post or post to the person as a private post or go to the moderator if they think they have a problem or request.
I have seen and others have seen hundreds of post on an article and would like to add a worth while post to it put decides not to because of the many bickering post going back and forth.
Most of these posts seem like kids post but a lot of them are not or just people who like to stir up other people.
I enjoy it when an article is translated and put here on FR for me to read. I also don’t mind or have a problem of a person posting a law or part of a state or federal constitution on a thread as long as it helps or explains the thread better and it doesn’t take up a half or whole page to post it.
What I don’t like is for Freepers to bicker, fight and call each other names. That doesn’t get anyone anywhere and takes away from the thought of the post and why the post was posted. I would want to think and I’m sure we are that Freepers are bigger than this. Some of my thoughts are that a lot of these bickers and name callers are people who want to cause Freepers trouble and take away the thought of the post and cause other Freepers not to post because of getting into a name and hate calling situation.
I do want to think each and every Freeper who has contributed to my knowledge and information that goes on around me by posting here at FR.
Thank You.

Who are you, a mere poster to tell other posters what they can and cannot post?

Quite the mindset you reveal there.

Conservatives understand the difference between "can," and "should." In fact, self restraint is the sign of a conservative.

If you don't understand the meaning between the two, perhaps your time would be better spent at DU.

Conservatives understand now is the time not to be silent while the Socialists in this country attempt to destroy our Democratic Republic by encouraging people to violate our laws.

I want no part of your idea of self restraint if it means withholding information that will prevent our country from deteriorating further due to illegal immigration. It is the very restraint over many years you refer to that has caused this very problem.

You accuse me of wasting precious space on this thread yet none of your posts to me have anything to do with the subject matter. That is truly a waste. I make no apologies for presenting facts to people so they are more aware to help us protect ourselves.

Please show me where on the FreeRepublic homepage that states a thread is the sole property of the poster and therefore has the authority to set the rules for the thread! I have posted many threads, of which some posters have posted rather long replies. I have never felt interfered with of offended and have never assumed the thread belongs to me or asked someone not to post that which otherwise complies with FreeRepublic policy and are pertinent to the thread. If they have violated those policies(i.e abusive language) then I notify the Admin Moderator. I don't keep posting on the thread how I have been wronged.

Everytime the long boilerplate gets spammed

I suggest you read the definition of spam per the FreeRepublic homepage. It states per the disclaimer:

Please do not post advertising, solicitations, spam or any other commercial messages. Do not spam us with links to your own site. No one likes spam.

Spam is clearly defined as commerical content. My post #5 of the Federal Immigration and Nationality Act is obviously has no commercial content and therefore is not spamming. The only hijacking that has occurred is the attempted censuring of relevant information to this thread instead of discussing the content of that information. You are engaging in the very action you seek to end. It absolutely amazes me some people on this thread are more concerned with some imaginary etiquette than the fact there is a way the threat of illegal immigration can be stopped.
