Reagan like style of dress, mannerism, abiltiy to articulate, cheerful positive countenance, optimism, wit, and executive experience all go to Mitt Romney. Great picture juxtaposition, and well done. : )
Exactly what I’ve said. Very true.
“Romney i a slippery one, ain’t he? “
As slippery as they come.
Nothing in you post worth a peanut against Romney. You should be ashamed of yourself for posting this tripe.
The frantic pace of freepers trying to trash Romney isn’t working. This is the best candidate out there and proving it every day.
“Of course, Romney is still splitting hairs — he supports some embryonic research and opposes other embryonic research.”
It seems as if Romney is kidding himself, and a lot of other folks, as well.

The FACT is, Romney tried to use Reagan to justify his own lies on where he has stood on abortion. The FACT is, Romney's claims are LIES against Reagan's record.
The FACT is Romney will say ANYTHING to get elected and his words CANNOT be believed.
The FACT is, Romney is a moderate and NOT a conservative.
If he sold himself HONESTLY there would be no argument. But the FACT is, his lies make him unsupportable.
Malleable Mitt cannot be trusted.
“The FACT is Romney will say ANYTHING to get elected and his words CANNOT be believed.”
I was ready to believe his “change of heart” regarding abortion, until I saw that Romney has flipped on too many things.
Style of dress? I think that's Rudy's department. [rim shot]
On ability to articulate, though, Rommey's convoluted, tortured equivocations on the subject of abortion are the antithesis of Reagan's simple, clear, truthful statements, not only in style, but in substance.
Reagan's endearing qualities included sincerity coupled with depth of character. I'll take substance over style any day, but Reagan still wins on both.
Cordially,
NONE of the current slew of candidates are Reagan and NONE of the top tier candidates are the conservative ideologue Reagan was. I have never seen a politician more genuinely enthused about conservatism, or more willing to teach it's principles not only to America, but to the world, than Ronald Reagan.
Mitt is more spontaneously articulate than Reagan, and can give a terrific speech, but he is NOT a conservative ideologue. I don't know when we'll have a viable, enthusiastic, articulate conservative ideologue, in a bid for the presidency again.
While some do look for s USSC to outlaw, many are looking for Roe to be overturned to place the issue back to the state level. However, even those that are looking for an outright ban have a point. To me abortion is like slavery, it is against the very basis of this country’s founding - and as the slavery issue had to be elevated from the states this might.
I am not sure how we could say in some states a life is of value at conception and some it is not of value until a certain conception period has passed. That to me seems like the 2/3 human positions we tried with slaves, it is either a life at conception and should be protected, or it is not and can be disposed of at any point.
Who do you support for the Republican nomination?
What did you think of Reagan’s amnesty for illegal immigrants? You support that?
This thread is about pro life or pro choice and I like to stick to the topic of a thread.
Plus I did research on this issue from “Reagan: A life in letters” on this subject when it came up.
I know what I believe on illegal immigrants, but my information is limited on the Reagan administration.
