Seminary....I’m speaking of post-graduate programs that offer Masters & Doctorate degrees and are accredited by recognized accrediting agencies.
I’m fairly sure about Mormons and the common understanding of seminary due to my association with some Mormon Chaplain Colleagues prior to my retirement. The Army required the equivalent of a Seminary Masters if there were no Seminary Masters program, and the Mormons generally had Masters degrees in other fields.
I’m willing to accept that that might have changed and/or that I’m wrong.
The point I am making is that Mormonism DOES provide upper education in Seminaries of their own creation. What it is an equivalent of....I do not know.
But to suggest that Mitt is ignorant of the LDS doctrine after attending eight years of LDS Seminary, serving a two year LDS mission, serving as local ecclesiastical leader (bishop)on two separated occasions, and being theStake President who presides over approximately 10 congregations is patently untrue. Mitt know more about Mormonism than perhaps 1 out of 5000 Mormons know. He is one of the leaders.
You’re exactly right. Seminary is for high school kids.
FYI, Colorcountry’s name is still on the Mormon church rolls, according to her, but she has become a critic of the Mormon church. She was raised a Mormon, and uses that background to lend weight to her attacks on the church. A useful bit of information when you are evaluating anything she says.
