Nearly all the 2008 presidential candidates have written at least one book and many have written more. Here is the money candidates said in their personal disclosure forms that they earned in 2006 from their most recent book as well as, where available, the number of copies Nielsen BookScan - which tracks about 70 percent of book sales - records as sold.

Now there’s one that’s sure to jump off the shelves...
It would be interesting to know if any “donors” might have purchased multiple cases of books as a way to get around campaign finance laws.
I heard that 1.2 million copies of Living History are in the Klintoon Library and Intern training facility in Arkansas....
Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio: No book revenue reported in 2006; last authored “A Prayer for America,” published October 2003; 8,000 copies sold.
8,000!!! Makes you wonder about their definition of “sold.”
Must be fiction.
If 1.2 million copies of Living History books were in the Clinton Library, then it would be quite plain that the “donations” to the library, which do not fall under campaign donation laws, have been circumvented.
In essence, donors to the library were giving directly to the Clintons when said gifts would have been illegal either as campaign donations or considered unethical as a Senator getting direct gifts from donors; can you say “graft”?
or “truckloads” - I think you’re on to something....
It would be quite interesting to be able to document how many cases of Living History are stored at the Clinton Library.
BTW: When you deliberately spell Clinton Library incorrectly, you lessen the possibility of others being able to use this forum for research. A search engine is only as good as the search terms.
Linda Tripp was excoriated by the left for wanting to make a profit by writing a book. She never wrote a book. Go figure.
Hmmm... Hillary got an 8 million dollar advance for her book. Has it sold enough to justify that amount? Looks like Obama and Rudy delivered the goods though.
Mid-2008 would be a good time for that book to come out...
:)
The Breck Girl got $333,333 in royalties for selling 20,000 books?
What? less than 25c a copy.- somebody is getting royally srood here.
