Yes, there is. Either get software to record streaming audio off the internet (that is what I do - very cool), or go to radioyourway.com. After I record the audio from the internet, I download it to an mp3 player so I can listen to whomever whenever wherever.
Immdiately after the encounter Bob would say in a resigned tone of voice: "Ya know, some people have nothing better to do in their life but to call in here and try to provoke me to hollar at them, so I hollared at the guy and hope he's happy now"
(another classic Bob Grant rememberence)
jmyrlefuller, I'll take you up on a ping-list, please put my nick in
Thanks,
MM
No Bob Grant tonite. Oh well.
Jerry Agar just said BOB GRANT is starting TOMORROW Aug 23, 07 ...I can’t wait ... PING ME!!
I’m a Bob Grant baby.
i think he starts tomorrow.
he’s been filling in on the john gambling show every morning this week at 10 am
Ping of interest.
I wish someone would fill in for Gambling permanently. Gambling has the single dullest show on radio.
WABC fired Grant in the first place. Vindication is sweet. God bless a great American Bob Grant.
.
Bob would even have his producer call me when he was over at WOR if a hot topic would be coming up in a half hour or so later
Anyone who underestimates Bob Grant is a fool
I recall that both WABC & WOR screeners and producers would get PO’ed if you called their rival station
Then Bob had his “once a week” rule
Some heavy duty calls and guests on with Bob
Clinton WH FBI agent Gary Aldrich was a great guest
Good sense of humor and easy to talk to
He laughed at my “Best Little Whorehouse In Washington” comment
This is good, you will get to enjoy him again!! And I won’t even ask what the ‘hot topics’ were, snicker.
and he has bergen record columnist, mike kelly, as a guest. doesn’t gambling know that kelly is a liberal.
.
Local & state & national political stuff
But Bbb Grant would venture into unusual top areas and he would develop them
He knows who he can draw out and who and what will be intersting and entertaining
Rush Limbaugh learned a lot from Bob Grant and used a different style but the grant influence is obvious to anyone who knows talk radio
“Get off my phone!”
Rush does not use that
But he does play with libs
Rita from Chicago? was a beaut that used to call El Rushbo
“The Chief of Joints” was one of her gems
Then I could see you being good at calling in. The ‘gift of gab’ is needed in that!
Maybe he’ll also play that song you like so much, lolol.
Naa, he will have to find his ‘own’ silly song.
I didn’t need to hear his BIG announcement on Sean’s show at 5. Anybody with a brain knew what it was.
My Dad will be happy. He misses Bob Grant.
Love his politics and passion. Hate his style.
Now that Bob Grant is back, I’d like to see some regular callers come back as well.
Jimmy from Brooklyn ( who sees Communists in every nook and cranny of this country ).
The kook — Shem ( sometimes called Hakim ), who calls every dictator “Honorable” ( e.g. The Honorable Hugo Chavez, the Honorable Fidel Castro ).
John From Staten Island, a veritable human database of Reagan’s achievements and account of liberal hypocrisy.
Frank of Queens, Bob Grant calls him vintage Frank for his on-air oratory.
David from New Jersey, black conservative caller
Carl from Oyster Bay, investigative reporter who’s on air remark once got Bob into trouble with the press.
Marty ( also a regular caller of Sean Hannity ), the WW2 vet who always has a piano background when he calls.
and others....
These are the people who make his show one of the most enjoyable in the tri-state area.
