Not that I know of, would be a good question for him.
Amazing.
Laws can work after all.
A similar report comes out of Georgia, which also has toughened its laws regarding illegals. They, too, nearly got run over by the flood of illegals trying to get out of GA.
TX Rep Culbertson said, in a radio interview a few weeks ago, that the existing laws have resulted in almost zero infringements in the Del Rio, TX and Yuma, AZ areas — because the locals enforce existing laws.
So that was bull about needing the Comprehensive Immigration Act before anything could be done about illegals. So much for the shellgame deception and lies from the White House and certain Senators.
Idiotic. How does it hurt workers?
"I think restaurants, construction, lawn care they do everything we don't want to do," he says. It's making it hard for local companies to find workers.
Yeah, that makes sense. A scarce labor pool drives up wages. That really hurts working people a lot!
Gee, now if Bush and pals would only take this hard line, we could get 12-20 million illegal dimocrat voters out of the country before the next elections.
I live in Desoto County in the north. Both state senate candidates flyers were filled with immigration issues. Haley’s is about jobs and education. He needs to be asked about it for sure.
They need to start in Cedartown, Georgia, west of Atlanta near the Alabama border. The entire damned town has been taken over by Mexicans. Drive into Cedartown and you think you drove into Mexico City. Spanish signs, Spanish eating joints and I am not talking Taco Bell either. Spanish run stores, Mexicans walking the streets, driving around in cars, sitting on the corners, sitting in all the eating joints. Hardly a white or black face in sight. The entire damned town is Mexican.
The Mexican Customs facility is essentially on hold according the K.C. Star. It seems the actors did not get the necessary Diplomatic Note required for a project like this.
Governor Blunt visited Mexico in February of this year to try and salvage the project. Moreover, according to the KCStar, U.S. Customs said the project was on their radar screen a year and half ago but not now. The State Department didn’t know anything about it.
Does that mean it’s dead? No. It’s just postponed until the diplomatic issues are sorted out.
Whether the customs facility becomes a reality or not the issue of illegal immigration will still be a problem because of the U.S. government’s commitment not to seal the border.
Thank God for states like Oklahoma and Georgia.
My short ping list.
Spot on. Years ago, I was involved in a small dispute with a neighbor and so I called the police. The neighbor was quite upset and didn't want the police called. I have always felt that if you are not happy to see the police coming your way, that should tell you something.
Oklahoma is OK
Yeah, they ran thru the briars
And they ran thru the brambles
And they ran thru the bushes where a rabbit wouldn’t go
They ran so fast that the hounds couldn’t catch ‘em
From down the Mississippi to the Gulf Of Mexico
I live near SF. When I take my daughter to school, I feel like I’m in a 3rd world country. Most of the parents are yammering in another language.
Enrollment was so high this year, they had to hire extra staff.
It’s an invasion.
‘Yup”
Mine too, I'm in Greenwood. When his holiness was mayor and each new scandal came out (remember Carol Coe) he would get this wide eyed innocent look. Never knew anything about it but always promised to "look into it".
I'm in Lee's Summit. I remember Carol Coe. "Little Miss Race Baiter." She was quite a piece of work, sort of like Cynthia McKinney. Say, is Greenwood BBQ still there, east of 291, I think on either 58 or 150? They had some of the best ribs I've ever had!

In fact, in the latest of an unending chain of RNC solicitation phone calls last week I told the solicitor that he should phone the National Association of Manufacturers, restaurant associations, and local Chambers of Commerce and Jaycees organizations for donations and leave me alone.
These groups are among those who've tasted a slice of malleable, low-cost labor.....and love it.

This proves, once again, that if there is a belief that laws will be enforced, and if there are laws which are not accommodating to illegal aliens, they will deport themselves.
Excellent counter-point to their "too many" and "impossible to enforce" arguments. This is the first I've seen of this point, and it is an excellent one. Thanks for putting it out there.
Backed up with some stats of the number of child workers before and after child labor laws were enacted would make this a sledgehammer for anyone debating on this issue. It very clearly illustrates that getting illegal immigration under control is a matter of political will.
