Ananova:
Students played 'frisbee' with land mine
Two Swiss students on holiday played frisbee with an object they found on a beach unaware it was a live land mine.
Lukas Aider, 20, and Christoph Kurz, 19, took a plunge in the Danube river in Budapest when they found the mine and began their potentially lethal game.
A lifeguard watching stopped them and immediately called the police.
A bomb squad then arrived to make safe what turned out to be an old Soviet 6 kilogrammes anti-tank mine.
Hold Mah Beer!
Hey, COOL! C&S got a new frisbee!
Toss it over........hey wait a minute !!??!!
I'm thinking catching something that heavy would be even harder
Those guys have big balls.
Dang nanny-state meddlers. Playing frisbee with a live land mine is NOT illegal. Neither is playing hot potato with a hand grenade. Kids these days just aren't allowed to have fun anymore. Why, in my day we'd play "smack the fuze on a 500-lb bomb with a hammer" and we LOVED it! They don't even have monkey bars anymore...at least not the high-voltage ones we used to enjoy. I blame the lawyers.
...mutterbunchofwimpsthesedaysmutter...
You bet! I remember playing with a rusty bear trap one time...just me and ol’ Stumpy...
If there was a magazine in this M=16 then I could understand the fuss. As it is, I think it is blown waaaaaay out of line.
LOL :)
"The Land Mine Frisbee just so happens to be a personal favorite of mine..."
Oh wait, that wasn’t dynamite. It was a sausage.
Ananova is a tabloid is it not? I don’t see two kids picking up a 13 pound object and tossing it around. Thats a lot heavier than a discus let alone a frisbee.
Kinda like Hand grenade Hot Potato
Hey! Where you been?
