Charges were filed Wednesday in connection with the kicking death of a Coweta toddler. Michael Hernandez was ordered held in the Wagoner County Jail without bond. He's charged with killing Kelynn Byrd, 2, earlier this month. The toddler's mother was Hernandez's girlfriend. Investigators said after Hernandez and the boy's mother had a fight, she left the house, leaving the child with Hernandez. The victim died from blunt chest and abdominal trauma. Hernandez allegedly confessed to repeatedly kicking Kelynn in the chest. Authorities contacted the Mexican consulate after Hernandez's court appearance because he is in the country illegally.

Ahhh, those family values that don’t stop at the Rio Grande.

Yep, thank you President Bush for bringing in those wonderful Christian values of child homicide!

"If this man were one that had been granted amnesty by Reagan..."

You might benefit from this pop quiz...

Ronald Reagan was definitely no George W. Bush.

I still don’t have an answer to my question. Clearly, some posters are not consistent in the way they apply their ‘criteria’.

"I still don’t have an answer to my question."

Yes, you do have an answer. It's just not the answer you wanted.

Ronald Reagan never condoned amnesty for violent criminal aliens. He insisted on many safeguards and conditions that Bush would be content to waive.

So, the authorities contact the Mexican authorities when the illegal immigrant is charged with a capital crime, but not if it is a lesser crime?

Yes, you do have an answer.

The question was: if this person had been one that was granted amnesty under Reagan, would you say Reagan had blood on his hands? Is the answer yes or no?

These people are beyond words

Why is no one being held responsible for the violent invasion of our country?

White, American males do this too.

Well, that's a perfect reason and excuse for our government allowing millions to enter our country illegally, that routinely and violently kill thousands of American citizens every year.

wow!
