President Bush's top intelligence aide has confirmed that Iraqi terrorists have been captured coming into the United States from Mexico.
The confirmation comes from National Intelligence Director Mike McConnell, who talked about the situation in an interview with the El Paso Times recently.
"Coming up through the Mexican border is a path," McConnell said. "Now, are they doing it in great numbers? No, because we're finding them and we're identifying them and we've got watch lists and we're keeping them at bay."
But, he said, "There are numerous situations where people are alive today because we caught them (terrorists)."
Intelligence officials say the numbers and details of such situations are classified, but McConnell pointed as an example to Mahmoud Youssef Kourani, who entered the United States through Tijuana, Mexico, in 2001, and later pleaded guilty to helping raise money for Hezbollah, which has been designated by the U.S. government as a terrorist organization.

Well, it makes me feel so much better than this is only one of the paths. I wonder what other paths they have discovered Iraqi terrorists using.
Maybe the administration wants the US-Mexico border to be the bait to lure terrorists into the trap?.............
Up through 9/10/2001 the idea of watch lists as a primary defense mechanism might have had some value.

If they’re catching them at the border then you know some are getting through, maybe most of them.
I wonder now, if Iraqi terrorists cross our border will the left greet them as liberators?
No doubt they’re coming here to do the jobs Americans won’t do.

Well now, don’t send this info to Geraldo so he can keep up one of his badgering questions dealing directly with no evidence of this happening. That way someone informed of this can counter him on his stupid quest to keep the borders open. Maybe the best person to get this to is Sean Hannity because he is hell bent to convert that babbling loud mouth into a logical thinker.
As you can see from the cartoon, Islamic Terrorists wear very distinctive clothing. Why, I bet it is darned easy to tell them apart from your ordinary, run-of-the-mill Hispanic illegal alien.

A while back a journalist from some Texas or N.M. newspaper did a series on the border and documented an Iraqi's successful attempt to cross and find a new life. He wasn't a terrorist - but the article gave the number of middle eastern or asian's the Border Patrol suspects are terrorists crossing that are "designated special interest" individuals and it was astoundingly high....like 1500 a year..
And that's just the ones we successfully intercepted - and what's the estimate of the number of illegals we catch vs. the total....about 10%.
And we have politicians that say the border isn't a problem.

Wow. Just wow. This is absolutely unacceptable. Talk about open borders putting us in major jeopardy. This solidifies it all right there. The borders should have been completely secured right after 9/11 and our policies tightened up and enforced. PERIOD.
