Dear Lord I come with praise and adoration on my lips to honor the creator of heaven and earth. Father our hope in is you and you alone. It is you who is always faithful, it is you who is merciful and it is you who gives us all we need according to your riches in glory by Jesus Christ. .

Father I lift up our President and pray that as he leads this country, he would seek your direction first. While there are many enemies who surround him, may his soul not be downcast, but instead may he put his hope in you. Let him look to you to meet all his needs. I pray that he would seek your will and not the will of any man. Lord, I lift up our troops who give so much of themselves and in many cases they give all. Protect them Lord, guide them and give to them the courage and strength that they need. Lord thank you for you hear our prayers and we can put our hope in you, knowing that you are in control of all things. I pray this in Jesus name, Amen.

God Weeps With Us

READ: Psalm 116

Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints. —Psalm 116:15

What is the meaning of Psalm 116:15, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints”? God certainly doesn’t value or find enjoyment in the death of His children! If He did, why would the psalmist praise God for delivering him from death? And why did Jesus groan and weep as He saw the grief at Lazarus’ tomb? (John 11:33-35). I agree with scholars who render Psalm 116:15, “Costly in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints.”

In this world, unless you are a celebrity, your passing will soon be forgotten by all but a small circle of relatives and friends. But Jesus showed us that God shares the sorrow and pain of the bereaved, and that the death of the humblest believer causes His heart great pain.

This thought came to me recently at the funeral of my brother Tunis. His family and his pastor extolled his compassion, kindness, and generosity. Afterward, people who knew him as a businessman spoke well of him. Though his name was just one of many in the newspaper obituaries, his death was a matter of great loss to us who knew and loved him. And it is comforting to know that God did not take his passing without feeling our pain. In fact, I believe He wept with us.

When we are happy or when we are blue,
God is aware of whatever we do;
All of our sorrows He takes as His own—
And He will never leave us alone. —Hess
God shares in our sorrow.

Agreeing with you in prayer, wendelmyer ...

May the Lord raise up mighty men and women who will be used by Him to return us to the root of our founding ... belief in God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

May it be thus, O Lord ... Amen ...

Lord, please watch over our great nation and most especially our President. Move him to make decisions that are best for us in your eyes. Protect us from evil and have mercy on us. Please comfort those who grieve for their lost loved ones. And Lord, please remind us that we are role models and that we must live our lives according to your divine will.

We ask this in Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.

Amen to all your prayers, especially that our President would seek and follow God's perfect will for our nation--even if it doesn't make "sense" to us.

Father, thy will be done in this nation You have established. We submit ourselves--our times, our lives, our hearts to Your perfect will.
