Maybe you'd like for him/her to teach your kids.

I don't know. I do know that if you were going to teach my kids I would be home schooling. I want my kids to understand arithmetic.

The FairTax requires your employer to report your wages to SS

Very different from: the government will know how much you earn, who you live with, what your relationship is, how many children you have, who you sold to, how much you charged, and as the buyer - the purpose of the transaction, and demand 30% up front before giving you permission to eat.

Most states already have a sales tax and none of that info. is reported...get real.

to meet prebate requirements.

Here is a solution: don't take the prebate

Universal coverage IS socialized medicine. Using public monies to fund medicine is socialized medicine...(I must say that I am impressed with your rationalization skills). The phrase "universal coverage" is nothing but loony liberal linguistics (oh but it sounds so nice and feels so good and making some one else carry your responsibility is always a bonus!). Anyone who thinks that a government monopoly, top down government management of anything is a good idea must work for the government. Remember Katrina, ever been to an DMV? And you want those people to be in charge of your health care? Medicaid for Lucy..what every mother wants for her kid./s

As far as Edwards:
John Edwards' Universal Health Care Plan Would Make Regular Checkups Mandatory

Have you ever heard of a resale number? What do you think they're for?

You are really trying very hard to drag me into a discussion about universal health care, however, this is a FairTax thread. Perhaps if you find a relevant health care thread you would ping me.

The consumer, the one paying the fairtax, doesn’t get a resale number. There is no way the government can get the information you mentioned from me as a consumer. They do get that information from me, via gunpoint, as an income tax payer.
