As a Mormon bishop, Mitt Romney pleaded long and hard to persuade a woman not to have an abortion. Feminists hate him for this and have made it the centerpiece of their attack on him.

On the other hand, FRed Thompson accepted money to persuade lawmakers to allow the continued slaughter of the unborn. No water will wash away that blood.

Judas Iscariot well understood such "business decisions" as FRed Thompson made.

You have my condolences regarding considering the article anything other than c grade fluff piece of dubious factual value. I do not question your Catholicism. And I lived through the Kennedy years and the specious assertion that Southerners would not vote for him because he would be ruled by Rome. BTW, look at the vote turnout in the South for a clue to the coming disaster should Romney get the nomination. Kennedy literally paid for the election win via Chicago and did not fair well in the South and turnout is telling and for whom theyvoted. even my grandfather, a died in the wool democrat, would not vote for Kennedy because of Daddy Joe’s history which my grandfather was all too familiar with.

That was way over the top. I don’t fault you for supporting Romney, as he has many good qualities. But that’s going too far for something that Fred Thompson devoted a few minutes to many years ago.

It’s worth noting that Romney and Thompson haven’t attacked each other. I suspect it’s because they might be running mates in 2008.

I think Romney and Thompson are both good candidates. Let’s see what kind of campaign Thompson runs. Why people have to get so detailed and worked up is beyond me.

The way Romney’s hacks are playing the bigotry card, especially in the West, in heavily Mormon areas, is despicable.

Funny, considering you and your many Romney-supporting friends are on the exact same threads.
